SRL Archive - News and General

I will be idle for some months. I am going to swap jobs, going for a different Post Production Facility, after 15 years of working for one employer. This change requires my full attention. I am applying for manager, which is a huge career move up the ladder, so there is lots to consider, lots to write and lots to think about. This really leaves no time for forum at all, mostly because my head is piled up with new challenges. I am both anxious and very very nervous at the same time. The thought of leaving my old studios behind, my old colleagues, is terrifying and thrilling. I hope you will understand, I just don't have time for games nor forums right now.

I am not saying goodbye (duh), but I wont be in the position to spend one more minute here (no room in my head) I simply cant afford to be distracted right now. This is for real, people!

I leave you in the capable hands of all those that have helped build this place to what it is today: the no-doubt finest runescape-cheating board of the whole planet. I am sure you will keep my legacy and keep up to the standards I have created. You will do ok. So many fine young people here!

SRL will never be far away. Wizzup? will keep me informed at all times. One of these days I will make a big post explaining all more in detail. And hey, dont worry: "I'll be back!"

Good luck at your job. I can relate a lot to your situation. When I moved to this new state I am now going to a high school ranked 140th. So not only am I going from middle school to high school, but also to a "magnet school" (google it). It is very hard here and I see myself spending less and less time playing games.

SO BACK OFF with any of your holier than thou "it's the great Fakawi" your bashing remarks. He's what? 44, 45 years old? He can take it, and can dish it out on his own with me if he wants.

I think he knows, I'm speaking the truth, and only the truth will set you free.

And just because you may have some extra time in your life doesn't mean he will. He works for some TV production company(?) as audio engineer. You work at GM. They are VERY VERY different jobs. Maybe he has other stuff on the side he does as well. Maybe he's a audio tech in his spare time, I know he does that because I've asked him for advice on it before.

I'm 16 and I barely have enough time for the forums.
What do I do?

• Manage Audio team @ local preforming arts center (I can prove if wanted)
• School
• Work
• High competition Soccer
• Homework
• Girlfriend
• T.A. In schools computer lab
• Correspondence courses out of school

And other stuff.

A year and a half ago (?) Fakawi had to leave for awhile because his wife got sick. Now he's back. SRL is his baby.

Good luck on the job (for manager?). Had many close friends and relatives go for high managers… and not always get them. Hard to obtain, but nice once you have them. I tend to hear "I didn't make it to the second / third step." But if you already have it then grats!

He created these forums, but that doesn't mean he's obligated to come here every day. Even if he does just want a little break (which I'm sure he'd say if that's all it was), he should take one! He's been spending lots of time on these forums improving them ever since they were created. A break would do him good.

i personally like to coast through life with the least amount of effort so as to allow more time for my Hobie, pondering the mysteries of the universe.
