SRL Archive - Outdated / Broken

Hi,

I've found an item in a shop that is WAY cheaper in the shop then on the Grand Echange, like 6-10 times cheaper. The demand for that item is high enough to sell big amounts of it (4k/day).
I'd like to write a script that constantly buys the item in the shop, and banks it, and then later i'm gonna put the items on the G.E….

Will this work for longer than 2 days? Will my actions lower the price of that item that much that making this script is just a waste of time?

If theres big demand and you're only selling 4k a day then it shouldn't have much of an effect on the price of the item.

always sell it for market price. if you sell it for lower it'll push prices down, if you sell it for higher and there's a big demand it'll raise the price, if you sell it for market price it'll just remain stable.

if its eye of gnewts, i did the math, its not worth it. Along with the time it talkes to walk, the script wouldnt train any skills so your player would do nothing but make money, and the amount of money would be less than any regular mining script or whatever.

If your calcultations are correct, then there's no point in keeping this a secret :)
The item is 'Raw Beef', shop price is 8 gp, grand prizes says 81 gp.

It still is a great way to get your cooking up, though…

My script suggestion: Port Sarim Powercooker, you put your char in the FoodShop with 8*X gp in his inventory, the script buys-cooks-drops the meat. :)

works even better with shrimps and anchovies and so on ;)
I've though about it before, but never got around to making it. if you found out at what lvl do you stop burning each fish the script could easily get you from 1 to 99 cooking with less than a million. i've done the maths before. (but that was before exchange, prices have certainly changed :( )
