Finally, someone worth voting for!

In all seriousness, this guy is either a freakin genius or the most delusional candidate to run for the presidency in our history.

Sen. Gravel: It sure is true. When are we are going to learn. We went through the Depression and we realized how we created all the gangsters and the violence. When FDR came in he wiped out Prohibition. We need to wipe out this whole war on drugs. We spend $50 billion to $70 billion a year. We create criminals that aren’t criminals. We destabilize foreign countries. With respect, to marijuana, Doug, I’ll tell you what: Go get yourself a fifth of scotch or a fifth of gin and chug-a-lug it down and you’ll find you lose your senses a lot faster than you would smoking some marijuana.

Damn, this guy is good!

Would you vote for or against a candidate that supports the full legalization of marijuana?

definately vote for…its true what he says, alcohol is a lot more potent than cannabis. its just that since its relatively easy to grow your own, the government wouldnt be able to get any tax money from it, which is why its not legalised i think. whereas alcohol is a lot harder to make your own.

Not really. It's much easier, you just need water, sugar, lemons, yeast and really big bucket with air tight cover. If you want booze you need distilling equipment.

In few weeks you'll get alot of drink that contains, let's say 5%-8% alcohol (i really don't know real numbers, but those could be close). You can drank it just like that, if you add enough lemons it tastes actually pretty good.
But you shouldn't waste that for drinking, you should distill it. With good distilling equipment you can get about 80% alcohol with just few distills.

It's really easy since when you put yeast, sugar and water in the bucket all you have to do is wait.

But when you grow marijuana it requires much more attention and skill. But outcome is also much more rewarding (both in money and enjoyment) than alcohol. ;)

Actually alcohol isn't hard to make. People used to have their own stills to make moonshine all over the place.

If you try to make and sell alcohol, you'll be thrown in prison just like a drug dealer is, or someone running a meth lab.

Personally, if someone says "Alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana", I don't see that as arguing in favor of marijuana as much as it is arguing against alcohol…
