Not sure if this is the right place to post, but the title did say all SCAR related issues…

ShowMessage doesn't work in SCAR 3.13

program New;
begin
ShowMessage('Hello');
end.

It keeps doing different things each time i run it.

Firstly it gave me a huge blank box, then displayed a box with nothing in it, then worked properly…

so we always have to use SafeCalls with ShowMessage? ARe there any other functions we have to use SafeCalls with?

Anything that makes the script interact with the GUI thread. Forms, dialogs, you name it. (Also the Disguise function for example, but that won't be necessary in SCAR 3.14 anymore)

Disguise function? Is that used to change the name of SCAR? Or am i thinking of something else?

Yeah Disguise currently changes the name in the upper right corning and the window bar of SCAR.

Glad this was mentioned, I was playing with it the other day… now I know how to make it work each time. /yay

I don't think so. We only found out about its existance about 5 posts ago. :p Freddy will release when hes ready and willing.
