Though with a little investing in farming, you could make a good deal of money. This skill is, from what I've seen, almost useless when it comes to money making.

They are trying to make it a moneymaking skill now, by making all shards half of the price.

I'm assuming that you're including familiars in this. There's a fine line between familiars and pets. I want the variations of the cockatrice. My friend wants a granite lobster; which is the most useful in my opinion.

I'd say the Ent at 78 for because it will turn my pure essence into Nat's for me. And then something that will help gather ores or hold ores for me since I mine so damn much.

But I can see this be a money making skill only if you use the familiar to do what it's special function is all the time, such as a pak yak or the ent.

Though I can already see (since it appears to be happening) so many damn players wondering around with annoying familiars and pets. They wanted to avoid turning rs into 'Petscape' but it looks like you can't go anywhere without seeing everyone have a familiar right behind them. Perhaps this is because it is new, but if it is a money making skill like they say and want, then I think everyone will be followed by a darn familiar.

No, summoning is too easy… If you don't have a house in taverly, just run from burthorpe to taverly obelisk.

The one I want for skilling is the granite lobster… But if I wanted it for fighting, I would pick the War Tortise because it can hold some items, or the Pack Yak for the same reason, or maybe a minotaur.
