Current Competition

Objective: 40 in any 3 of these combat skills.

• Attack
• Strength
• Defense
• Range
• Magic
• If you would like to do summoning, please pm me.

Reason: Your "autoing" mains will have to be leveled up before we can auto safely.

Specific Competition Rules:

• You can use any script for the first competition
• This competition will not include money yet.
• Do not steal, hack or attempt to hurt another SRL Member's chances in any way.
• I am going to have to choose a side on the issue of transferring items, so here is my decision: you are allowed to transfer items for this competition. Why? Well, if you opponent wants to take 15 minutes to transfer 3k worth of items, then I say go for it. You will be able to be training while he does this and before he even starts, you can be halfway done (this will be changed if too many people dislike it for this competition).

You will have to bear with me on the first task, but we must have the combat's leveled up before you can advance in any other skill really. Try to make this as fun as possible for yourselves, and even if you don't win, please get your character up to a suitable auto-ing level. Have Fun!

Well, we will all start at level three and if you pay 5 dollars to win this competiition then so be it :D.

i like the self made script can be used only (good idea) , so the people who dont have a autofighter they can work on scripting which is good… and this only going to be for srl members?

I'm sure not going to pay $5 for another members account, not to mention you have to get it to 40 combat first anyway.

…You never said what the goal for this one is yet. Are you going to post that when the competition begins?

I say you have the characters all be at the last stage of the tutorial island, right when he asks you to go to the mainland…

i think that having it be your own script will make some people not join. Some of them should definately be just your own scripts. But for the first competition, if you're trying to get a lot of people to join the i'd say let people use any script.

And money should definately be included because skills arent that hard to get up. You find/already made a good script and you're done. But money is a more difficult choice if you're trying to get it done fast.

Also a time limit. If no one has it done by such and such a time after the competition is started then closest person wins

Yup. The way I figure is, I will tell the goal a few days before the comp starts. I will have all the accounts by then with changed pass's so no one can cheat. I will allow some time for you to create your own script if you like, maybe a day in advance, that way you won't loose much time after the comp starts and every one is happy. people are bound to make their own scripts if there isn't a good one out. I will try to pick skills that do not have that many scripts for it. And yes, I will announce the target skills and such later so I can think them through well enough and so no one could have a chance to cheat.

ya know count me in…if anyone wants to run a player through tut island for me sometime let me know it would be great…i need to get my scripting back so this would be a good way…not really going to do it for the prize but for personal gain

How will you check if the user has only used his own scripts?
For all I know I can say I made my own LAME.
Made a crappy version of it, and used it, but still I use Tarajunky's LAME instead without telling you.

sounds fun but unfortunately i can only auto for a few hours a day, i can't leave it on during the night because my father always turns my pc off, so i'm sure i won't win against those 24h autoers :(

also i'd say announce the targets 3 days before so that we have the time to make a script for it, one day is really rushing it. and another question, do the bots have to be lvl30-40cb like said in the srl autoing guide or not? because that could be a major factor.

edit: btw if you want to make it hard i suggest for the skill to be Crafting, RuneCrafting and smithing ;)

I dont think anyone needs to cheat on this friendly competition…just write your own scripts and go for the actual goal of this competition, which of course is to produce more scripts to the community…

LAME wouldn't be much good in a single character competition like this. I guess it would still work, but would be horribly inefficient. But your point is a good one, we can't really prevent people from using other people's scripts. That's why I voted for using any.

We definitely need a gold requirement, though.

Yeah, we need some ground rules. What can you do yourself? You would have to be able to move your player to a new location. You would have to be able to buy and sell items from stores, or the grand exchange, and use the bank to switch out your gear. Another important question is whether you can trade with other accounts you control or not, and if so, whether trades have to be balanced.

By the way, I already created my account, so count me in.

I'm 100% for personal scripts. Enough so that I'll only join if there are no public scripts allowed. If people are gonna cheat, let them cheat, that's their choice. Those of us who are trustworthy, though, will add quite a large batch of new scripts to the members section.

Proposal for Ground Rules for BoB Competition:

Goals: ATK/STR/DEF 50 + 1 million at bank. The mil will probably be generated with one or two side-skills you feel comfortable with.


Rules:

1. All Players send their L/P to the Competition Judge. He will change them and will PM them at Competition Start.
2. Any means of playing is allowed. Legit, autong, merchanting, whatever.
3. All scripts are allowed.
4. Winners is he who signals the Judge first.

Prices:

1. The awe of the SRL-community.
2. Forum Medal

About rule 3 and 4. We cant be limited in the way we cheat. Therefore I say any means allowed, simply because we are cheaters and we cant (and wont) check the way everyone plays. Whether you trade 300 times 3k each 15 minutes, wrestle with toymousies or mine to smith bronze in order to get the mil, or even play legit, we shouldnt care. As long as you get it done, as fast as possible.

These rules are of course not fixed, you are free to change them. But make sure the rules are waterproof.

BTW: Why not do this cross-community?

You create 'm but dont level in tut, and place it at Lumbridge Bank. The Judge will check to see if it its default :). BTW: Depending on the amount of subscribers, we will possibly need a team of Judges.

And yes I think money should be involved. It makes sense in all ways. Money nowadays plays a central role in the Single Player environment runescape has become. Just bashing a Player to a certain level isnt really a challenge. It is a single script skill.

Yes I was thinking cross platform, but that would certainly mean a to team up. Moreover I wouldnt possibly think of any kind of sensible award :) But I found it interesting enough to toss it. Lets wait and see how this goes first before we take it any further.

Alright, the poll is still kinda up in the air as you can see. I have not been here the past two days, been in training, but I will change the pass's of the four accounts I have right now. That means four entries have been entered already (:P).

I think it should be the greatest xp, greatest money, all from autoing, after a month. It adds in the strategy of not getting banned.

Yes, but even if you don't win, you can still level it up to those stats and I will make competitions that will be based on previous skills gained. Like getting levels higher than the first competition we did it, etc.

Alright, I have quite a few entries so far.

Let me start off by saying that my Runescape is not working properly (:D), so I will get someone you all trust(hopefully Fakawi, since no one seems to have anything against him :D) to change the passwords and check. I will hope to have Runescape running by the end of the competition so I can check the account :).

Ground Rules:

I will be posting the ground rules today. They will be similar to Fakawi's probably but not exactly like them. There will be quite a few tiny variations and maybe one or two big ones. I have around 8 accounts right now and hopefully more will come ;).

Nono, I dont want to change the passwords, nono. Its only a one time change, and there is not much to trust for default lvl-3 's. Once you recieve the temp-password from the Referee, you may change it back to your liking of course :)… But I am not going to change passwords. Do you want to be the referee pwnaz? How many contestants do you have?

Around 9. The reason I wanted you to do this one time change was because my java is not running properly, not because I did not think they would trust me. And yes I will judge (do everything except change the passwords because my java is not working ;)).

1. Started Vampire Slayer quest.

2. Dummy punching script to 8 att.

3. ChickenKiller until I had 1k feathers.

4. Traded feathers for power ammy and black scimmy.

5. ChickenKiller to 25 Att 17 Str.

6. Grand Exchange. Sold feathers and raw chicken, bought mith scimmy, addy scimmy and salmon.

7. Finished Vampire Slayer, gained 5 Att to 30. (BARELY beat him though, even with the salmon).

8. Switched to Addy Scimmy and ran ChickenKiller overnight. Next morning I had about 20k feathers and was 40 Att, ~30 Str.

9. Grand Exchange. Bought Rune Scimmy and put all feathers for sale.

10. ChickenKiller to 40 Att 40 Str.

11. Grand Exchange, bought earth staff, blue wizzy, magic ammy, 2500 airs, and 2500 minds.

12. Ran a modified LAME with rune dropping turned off and 30 minute timeout, all the way to 40 Magic.

I also finished Witch's potion and Imp Catcher along the way.

The scripts only messed up once, and I happened to be there to see it, so I restarted it immediately. I was pretty lucky with that, and with the vampire. The rest of it was pretty straightforward.

Well planned! Well, your chicken killer messed up on the walking last night, so I didn't get to 40 in some stats, as planned :rolleyes:
