very nice, i asked a question about this on the n00b forum not 3 hours ago

good idea of posting this, nothing happens when you mouse over them, like on avatars is says "-insertnamehere-'s avatar" but on these it says nothing

an admin or mod sees that you have been helping,are good at something, or whatever it may be and they give you the award.

I hope i get up in the ranks some day. working on learning to script now about 3 hours a day. i used to think using peoples scripts and running them was the coolest thing ever but now i want to make my own and show the best community ever that i can do it. I'm going for administrator! lol.

Lol how is this useless. MANY people wonder(if not everyone) what all the little pictures are that people have. And this does a wonderful job of explaining it.

Well darn it I got so close to finding out about the ranking system, but just not close enough. I'm a 'chicken', and I am ASSUMING that's because of reputation…post count maybe? Argh, it was starting to annoy so I got curious :P

Things like Lesser Demon, chicken, KBD etc, have to do with your activity, once you reach a certain point in your activity it goes up. Like once your activity bar hits the red knotches you become a KBD

@hobbit, hermpie has 98% activite but hes a lesserdemon? :p

I think its also about longevity…

Though his spam is more like greater demon's :p (no offense)

Well, then what is the purpose of adding to a player's reputation if the ranking system is not based on that?

Its just to have rep. Like Star is the only one with over 100 rep point on the forum so he has 2 little green box things, and like all rep really does is if u go over the little green box thing it might say something like 'XXX will become famous soon enough' or 'XXX is on a distinguished road' stuff like that.

It isnt a cup, you get this dark purple/blue (cant remember) bar to below your location field, which says "Site Supporter".

Its blue (look at mine)
And I think he means donating to the Scripting Prize bank.
And the answer is no right now, but I'm trying to get something similar as the site supporter added in but for Prizer Donators.

Yea I'm curious on the Master cup one, doesn't give much explanation by its self.

Well SB said I think it was in the SC#2 thread or something, that Scripter Cup people make out standing scripts, and Masters Cup people make mind blowing scripts…

SRL Tutorial Writer Cup - Write a tutorial (related to srl or scar)

Inside the developer team, we have some people who are in the Random Development team. People with cups have succesfully made/contributed a randomsolver in SRL.

you can get that one by being active and contributing to the comunity in the week you registered i tought.. not sure though;)

also the dev gears on the thread main post is still the old one

my suggestion is that you just replace http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/images/avatars/gears.gif with the new one as the new one is http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/customavatars/DevGears.gif atm that should automatically correct fix everyones including the one on first post

I think you get Mostly Harmless and Village Clown by being stupid in general. Banned From Black Market is not a cup.

Well, Scriptwriters are always looking for good feed back….. Here is how I helped earned mine… Grab a pen and paper and give the script a run… be sure to use multiple players…. and watch all aspects of how the scripts run… does it log in and out ok ? .. switch players ok ?..do different skill levels act differently ? ..does wearing certain colors affect the script ?…. write down all good things and all bad…then post to the thread where you got the script…..

As your knowledge increases, you'll then start to understand what procedures and functions do what….

The first thing I do when I test a script is…

add

[BANANA]Status('Name of Procedure');[/BANANA]

above every procedure or function in the script, renaming it to that particular Procedure/Function….then you can look in the status window and know exactly what the script is doing while watching what the character does on the screen ….you can then further add "Status Checks" inside of Functions/Procedures to help determine where a particular error occurs, or refinement is necessary….

You can then tinker with the script as your knowledge grows, and able to start help fixing small problems…it's OK to post new functions or procedures that have worked for you, but it is still considered plagiary if you repost the script… better to just privately send it the original author, unless they are no longer active and you have remade say….50-80% more of the script to get it to work better….
