Someone thinks we are all gone

Many thought that the removal of bots, (also knwn as autoers or macroers) if it ever happened, would be the greatest thing to ever happen in runescape. In a way they were right, in another way, they were wrong. there isn't one bot left in runescape now. but there is also alot of damage left behind.

Theres more to the post on the RS Forums but I think that if more people think we are gone…then hooray for us!

I found this quite interesting though.

Heres the link. http://forum.runescape.com/forums.ws?15,16,143,55315023

bwuahahahahahaha!!!!!
in.their.faces!

you don't have to worry about getting killed on you're way to the mage arena, abyss or the chaos temple. And last but not least, bounty hunter.

all the ghosts can use tb and freeze with ancients magicks, so yeah you still get killed, though i never got killed by pkers either, but im good at the wildy.

You expressed my thoughs.

But some positive sides abou this:
Available yews
Not-so-very-agressive-reporting-macro-hating-people

I'm too lazy to write more, figure out the rest. You get it, right?

Yes but how many bots were banned were because of the macro reporters. Cause thats about half the battle.

But when all of those macro reporters stop reporting, Jagex can't find us that well.

True. However, people now believe that there are no more bots. Because of this, they will just pass a silent level 50-60 Yew cutter off as a person watching T.V. :garfield:

Yesh. Even when they are obviously at fault, then denie it completely & act like nothing happened, then go & fix it without telling anyone.

That is all I can hope for really. Being able to auto on a few of my characters that are high level and they will just mistake me for the silent type, expecting to see only low levels auto.

How available are the yews? When I try to cut there are almost as many legit people as there were autoers. But later at night some worlds are almost empty so that is a big improvement.

Also, I don't think we stand out anymore than before. With "all" macroers gone people won't be so sensitive to think anyone not talking is macroing. Instead, as several have already stated, they are the "silent type"

It helps with all resource gathering, to be honest. However, it helps *most* with Woodcutting because woodcutting just happened to be the bad-autoer's favorite skill :( .

Less reports=less randoms=less bans=more free stuff for us (just stockpile your resources until someone finds a way past the trading system. :p )! :bart:

True.. this will have to happen sometime, why not hire a hijacker :D lets teach those Jagex MF'rs that fighting with SRL and Scar isnt so easy!

If I had RSDemon I would run it right now. Just to annoy JageX, Because they simply could not get rid of the bots.

As I said, It's all about money:)
That guy was right…about Jagex "destroyed RS"
If autoers would follow srl rules…such as getting higher combat lvl…then there would not be those recent updates…
And i'm feeling that getting more randoms&bans than usually are connected somehow with money-botters disappearing…

LOL, that's true.

Trade rules didn't stop any of the bots. But the way that most of the bots have now stopped running just shows how many were in it only for the money (and how much money they must have been making!)

The one people that would have to immediately stop would be paid gold farmers working in Chinese sweat shops. Nobody's going to pay workers when they can't make their money back.

I am thinking I am going to use this all the my advantage and play off me being silent (normally always am anyways cause of all the little kids) and gain some easy levels and goods and not even work for them either. Maybe I will just run my miners at night and what not.

Ahahahahaha!
They think that bots ruined the game.
Actually, FAGEX ruined the game. I'm not talking about the website FAGEX, I'm talking about the fucking retarded employees at Jagex who think what they think they're doing is right, and it's really helping people play RuneScape.

Bunch of Fucking Morons.(not you guys, the people on RuneScape forums, and Jagex)

2008-01-12 18:11:58

Lol.. I could'nt agree more. I just hope that not alot of members in Runescape quit cause that will mess RS up comepletely (whats left of it at least) and then all the work that this site has put into bringing Jagex down to its knees will be lost in the self-nuking of RS by Jagex. :(

I don't think you can make that assumption, even if everyone has autoed using a lvl 40 or so with non-default clothing, there would still be the real world trading issue, which was what Jagex was really aiming to stop.

2008-01-13 12:34:36

I think that Jagex knew that thier updates were going to make alot of honest players unhappy. I think that they (Jagex) are trying (and succeding) to purge RuneScape of dumb army bots, with bald heads and green shirts. You all have to remeber that the staff of Jagex are realy people, with realy lives. They just want to pay the bills.
Im sure that the bulk of their income comes from advertisments, not members. Bots and FWT make Jagex look bad to their major corprate sponsors. If sponsors see that 40% of the people that see their advertisments are computers, why would they advertise there?
I dont think for a minute that Jagex thinks there are no bots, or even taht they dont know how SCAR and SRL works. They are not dumb, so i think they also realize that bots help the game progress. Bots do the nitty gritty work that most humans wouldn't do for longer than an hour or two a day, at the most. Bots keep raw materials available for every honest, lazy, and low skilled player.
My point is that Jagex staff arent idiots, or mosters or anything. If they realy wanted to get rid of bots, they could, because they have access to all of the things we use to learn how to get around their sytems. If they cant plug the holes, they can learn just like we learned to make the holes.
So Jagex isn't stupid, and they dont hate us. I think they hate the FWT and the megga lvl 3 botters, who endanger their paychecks.

2008-01-13 13:37:33

Every game has cheats. Runescape is no exception to this universal rule.
By using macros, with more and more advanced anti randoms, they have no hope of catching over 5% of users. Most of those 5% of users will be new, and using older scripts.

Why doesn't Jagex just except us. They are right to try and block out real-world trading, but they are fighting an impossible war against individual macroers.

The only reasons bots went down obviously is because the owners dont have anything to bot for… Since RWT is dead whats the point of autoing? But if the owners wanted they stil can rape the yews for fun. Jagex still has not killed bots literately.

Edit: OH shit Tara posted this :P. Shoulda read comments before ::duh::.

Please dont bump old threads!

Also, safety doesn't depend on account, its based on how safe the script is, how often you auto, and just generally autoing smartly
