To my small knowledge, it's a client. Lol, I know that SCSS doesn't turn. So like you'll notice every few minutes, the Runescape Client turns a couple degrees, to throw off autoers that click the same pixel again and again…and again.
Alright well I think you are confused as I was at first. SCSS is a small client made my Freddy himself (got no more info on that…I don't use it). ScarScape is a cilent that has the map and compass PERFECTLY aligned north, and the colors stay the same, 24/7. This is so that autoers that coordclick (click on a certain pixle all the time) then the script clicks for example 500,200 and when the camra rotats pixal 500,200 is somewhere else. The colors change slightly in the regular runescape window, (not enough for humans to recognize) but enough for SCAR to get effed up. In ScarScape the colors stay the same. Most scripts although are good enough that you can use any regular cilent. ScarScape is really ment for beginer scripters. You can download a copy at sythe.org or go to JuKKa's powerminer and he has a link streight to a site running it.
Hope that explains it. I'm too lazzy to go through it to check if I said something wrong, but most of it is right.

i forgot whose link that was. i think it was wizzups
Scarscape is basically designed to stop the colours changing so much. In the past it used to always throw off the scent of the trail but scripts these days are more advanced. And yes, the compass is always north ;)
