Please write down a paragraph about Yourself.

I think most of you know a little about me but I have been using scar since two years ago and I learned alot of scripting. My first scripts are in WC and fishing section of junior scripts of SRL. I did a good effort on this and I want to improve my scripts and learn more and more. I also would like to contribute in this community by being part of it. Thanks.

Please Post a Sample of your Work. Only SCAR Scripts Accepted

Here is one of my yew cutters (my first one) that I have been working a while ago. I know I should have used auto-color picker but I need help on this:p so you'll have to set your own color so it'll work. I know it might not be the best yew cutter you've seen but it's a great script that I have reached the running time of 28 hours with 10 players. I want to improve it
so be free to post great comments and ideas!:D
Used SRL coding and stuff. Radial walking, map walking, bank dtm, bmp, antibans(rotation of screen, examining stuff), fail safes etc. great stuff, i think its good stuff for someone at my level.:rolleyes:

PS: I know i use the old FindMMColorTol function but it works great. I will update it to the new rev 9 soon don't worry.

PS: you can also get the RCYew out if its too annoying mouse right clicking around (its sort of an antiban) like that:

procedure ChopYewDown;
begin
GameTab(4);
repeat
if not LoggedIn then Exit;
ChopYew;
//RCYew; <------ using the comment bars (still works great without it)
RotateScreen;
RelocateAtYew;
until InvFull;
end;

Why didnt you wait for a couple of weeks?

EDIT: ok understood. No need to react on my statement.

:/ your other app isn't even closed yet :S
but, you still have useless procedures, you have two progress reports, and standards are still off.

FindMMColorTol …… LeftArrow,RightArrow??, SetupScript is 2 lines long :S it's longer than if you'd put it in your main loop, FindYew does not have enough failsafes, you should make it look for more colors.

for t := 1 to Time do
begin
Wait(1000);
FindTalk;
HandleFight;
end;

this isn't right. you want it to wait a certain time, you'd need to do something like this:

MarkTime(BeginWait);
repeat
Wait(1000);
FindTalk;
HandleFight;
until(TimeFromMark(BeginWait) >= Time)

CheckYewEnt and FindYew and nearly exactly word for word the same thing. i suggest you join toguether all your ent procedures,

YWait is a whole lotta lines for something you could jsut do
wait(..);
FindNormalRandoms;
a couple times…

use FFlag(0), apparently there's some problem with Flag; atm.

i'm really not sure convinced by this script, i'll see what other members are leaning towards to.

What if it finds none of these?
              repeat
if not LoggedIn then Exit;
LinearRoadWalk(FindVarrockRoadColor, 180, 60, 0, 0);
Flag;
until FindMMColorTol(x, y, BankColor1, 5) or
FindMMColorTol(x, y, BankColor2, 5) or
FindSymbol(x, y, 'training dummy') or
FindSymbol(x, y, 'water') and FindSymbol(x, y, 'archery shop');
I'll be back later, I'm not sure if I'm convinced either. I just know I need some chocolate.

Just wondering, did you make that 26 hour progress report up?

added standards to the beginning of your script. and your walking is missing an important end.

I need this chopper.
I think I found another problem.
You only relocate if you don't find something, and thats the only procedure using findyrandoms.
Another problem.
In YFindBank, you always declare the bitmap, but you only free it if you find it.

I'm inclined to say yes, but something is holding me back. I'll come back later.

What if it finds none of these?
              repeat
if not LoggedIn then Exit;
LinearRoadWalk(FindVarrockRoadColor, 180, 60, 0, 0);
Flag;
until FindMMColorTol(x, y, BankColor1, 5) or
FindMMColorTol(x, y, BankColor2, 5) or
FindSymbol(x, y, 'training dummy') or
FindSymbol(x, y, 'water') and FindSymbol(x, y, 'archery shop');
I'll be back later, I'm not sure if I'm convinced either. I just know I need some chocolate.

it has a time limit to find those. if it doesnt find it and time limit is over then it will log out and set player false and next player. please read all the procedure because this is not the first time i have shown you that u was wrong mister JackLKrawl :p

Pros: you have cases, arrays, DTMs, functions player array…
Cons:Standards make my head hurt, WAYYYY to many procedures. You only need like 1/4 of them., Few small errors. Idk what to vote.

Sir R. M8gic1an

you can't. mick he has two polls because many insisted that he posted his yew chopper that runs for 20h+ and so he posted a new app with this script.

I don't know but I'm not sure why you would think its okay to reapply a day later. I understand you wanted to post up a different script but you should have done that in your old application.

You were wrong the other time too, I just felt it would be kind to stop pming you about it.

You're wrong again. You have it set up in a loop with a marktime set just before it. You have a semicolon indicating the end to conditions. There is no 'If timefrommark > then break' in that repeat until, but after the loop finishes.

I'm voting no, you edit this and then try to contradict me, trying to make me look like a fool - again.
Edit: He didn't edit it, it's still there.

You were wrong the other time too, I just felt it would be kind to stop pming you about it.

You're wrong again. You have it set up in a loop with a marktime set just before it. You have a semicolon indicating the end to conditions. There is no 'If timefrommark > then break' in that repeat until, but after the loop finishes.

well my scrpit stops after 3 mins of searching the colors if not found. and the other time i was right because yes it has to use the dtm. when it finds broken axe it logs out. i believe wat i saw in my scripts. if didnt work i wouldnt be tellin u wrong but it does.

macromacro, he means in the procedure WalkToBank. in this one, unlike in the other ones, you forgot the time mark.

@Jack: in his other walking procedures he does have a time mark.
@pinky: different script, people asked for him to apply with the script. maybe he could've edited the other app, but what real difference does it make? Fakawi already gave his ok.

Stop covering your ears. You don't free the dtm if the result is true, because you didn't put another freedtm before the exit. But if it does not find the dtm, then what result does it return?

And you just validated my suspicions that your current attitude is the same as your past attitude.

Sorry if you aren't familiar with the process of voting on member apps, but in many people's opinions, attitude is far more important than scripting skill. In the past, many have been denied because of their attitude.

Do you know why I got in? It isn't because I have 'mad skills' in scripting. It's because I understood my position and who I was talking to. This is in the rules I believe, "don't pretend to be better than you are." Many of the people who are members now have been here for a long time, and have a lot of experience in scripting. They can do more than the things you can do. This is the reason you aren't selected by your 'work' alone.

You are never selected to be a member because you are unique. In fact, I want to make this clear to you, you are not as unique as you pretend. This is the harsh, brutal reality of it, and it's going to put you into a state of denial and make you feel foolish. You should, because based upon your way of thinking, you are not required at all. I am not required at all, and most of us are not required at all, for this community to survive. SCAR is a very generous trial and error language. It doesn't take someone highly gifted, although someones do come by.

Believe it or not, this is a popularity contest.

I despise you. Why would you think that there is an introduction in the form? Originally I was going to say yes before you started acting like a know-it-all. I usually keep grudges and personal opinions out of things. When you're getting voted for, it's never a good idea to insult people who have been approved by the community.

hey im not an ass its just that he votes for what i said in the past. thats like the last year. i was a leecher im not a leecher anymore so im not an ass as you say. i dont have bad attitude im just persistent sometimes and sorry if u think its annoying

Aye, sad, isn't it, when things from so long ago come back and haunt you.

I'll look over some of your recent posts, but I don't think my vote's gonna change, not in time to make a difference on this poll. Maybe by your next try I'll be convinced that you're worthy of membership.

Not voting but… Why on earth do you need like 6 ent finding procedures and I manage my script with only 1, and mine chops every free tree, wtf?! And yea learn standars mate, look:
if not LoggedIn then Exit;
if InvFull then
begin
PerfectNorth;
if FindMMColorTol(x, y, PlantColor, 5) then
begin
Begin should be on the same line as the previous, so:
if not LoggedIn then Exit;
if InvFull then
begin
PerfectNorth;
if FindMMColorTol(x, y, PlantColor, 5) then
begin
Its why all ur procs have like massive gaps at the bottom, they should flow :p

very nice use of failsafes lol, do they even work? :D
FindRS;
begin
What why on earth do you have a begin in the middle of a procedure without a 'then' or anything before it???

And I wanna know how many players you got the supposed '26 hours'. I can never get more than 10 hours per player without getting an unsolvable random… so if you used one then you should get the hell out of here for lying to a truth based community.

Why do all the appz lately end in pissed off people :( come on guys be happy! Fakawi already warned you guys :p

I accept with mr.klean a bit and and you should have to wait until last applie is closed…

If it would be 1 single appliance, script like Rasta Magician's fixed, then I would vote yes…

It was NO btw

I think you misunderstood the posting of your other script ;) You should've edited your first post in the other thread. I closed the other one for you.
If you want, you can add (edit in the first post) your other script :)

You know, you really should've made the script to fulfill the requirements that I told in your other app.

i used 10 players to get a 26 hours running not only 1 player

I don't believe the progress report either. It averages in 156 minutes per player, and always 27 yews… per bank…
Someone able to cut yews, test it? No reason to say 'No' because you don't believe the guy, might as well make sure you aren't wrong.

macromacro123

2008-01-09 18:36:40

by the way it counts logs 27 per bank even if it has a random item in inv. its aprox because i dont have a log coounter in it. it does + 27 evry load so it might be approx
