PROS -
*Won't have to worry about all this drama.
*All the serious autoers are VM'ing anyway and SMART is pretty much the same thing.

That's all i could think of for now, lets see if anyone has anymore to add.

CONS -
*We all saw all the problems SRL members had with it, and most of us at least half way know what we are doing. Imagine trying to teach the population of noobs it. Of course a sub-forum and a little bit of overtime moving/dealting threads by the mods, would fix this.
*Jagex will target us more with the rise in autoing

Well it could be so that there would be this tutorials that explains the stuff (pwnaz0rs tut + adding the compiler directives and replacing the TypeSend) and then it would be like use if you can and maybe the forum where you get smart would be locked?

Well yeah they would start posting offtopic about it, I just remembered there was some popular scar script or .exe for macroing in sythe on my first week in the macroing world, and it said "Don't use if you can't"…

Also, don't forget that using SMART lets you auto and whatever at the same time, thereby keeping scar from putting your computer out of commision while you auto.

Yes, thats why I agree with Killerdou, it would be abused.

well it could be like the srl sub-verison forum…

maybe make 2 or 3 ppl "mods" for ONLY that forum. they could answer all the question. regular mods can move the threads when they see them.

in case you don't see yet i agree with making it public. BTW if i remember right Ben said he would eventually make it public, but he wanted to give it to use first. don't quote me on that though.

the only real con i see, is autoing would get abused more. BUT it wouldn't get abused on level 3's cause no one uses level 3's anymore. go take a look in lumbrdige, you'll see 98% of the level 3's there are legit. so the people that use SRL are already folowing the rules and being 20+.

How about we give them the files, but we can choose if we want to make our scripts SMART that way leachers dont rape everything.

wouldnt it better if we just gave it to them but never told them how to use it :D

and btw, you can make any scripts use SMART considered you know a little bit about scripting.

Yes all of us know how to make a script smartable, but nubz don't. We can choose to do it if we want to and they wont know how to do it. They won't figure it out if we all use different world abbrvs etc for smart setup.

well if its only going to be leaked everywhere there goes the benefit. by now pretty much every non-member knows about it.

There'd be too many people using it.. Not cool.. And you can run more SMART's than VM's, I think.

+ possiblilty of srl being overrun by ppl looking for a way to auto w/o it taking over their mouse/lag them. & after this eventually gets fully leaked out so majority of ppl know about it…

Actually, how about giving them about 50% of the "Embedded SMART.dll" and they'll have all these problems when trying to move the mouse because it doesn't work.

Or even make an "Embedded SMART.dll" that is just useless trash and doesn't do anything.

But i don't want to make it public, i just got into members and i like the benefits otherwise what is the point in joining SRL Members?

and not very many non members know about it. or say they know about it on forums…

Well, no, not really. But it is a good thing that should be kept in SRL Members as a really smart guy has discovered it and he obviously doesn't want JaGex to find out and stop it.

But all these other forums, market places, SRL members scripts. Those are benefits to the SRL Members too, if not there are way more.

I don't know about releasing it publicly… I'm sure that leechers would abuse it. And not posting tuts about it is useless, because, eventually, they are going to find out. Look on the pessimistic side peeps lol.

Hey guys, I have an idea.. to stop all leakage. Well the idea comes from another site( a neo pets site.. yea yea) but it is basiacally an auth system. Just visit the site and look at the method they use of protecting there scripts from non registered people. http://www.neocodex.us/

basically its an auth system of membership, You enter your user/pass in the 'codex checker' and it logs you into the server then loads the script your trying to access. So in affect you never actually dl the scripts, you just access them from a server.

Benland already said he didn't want an auth.

I'm not really against or for making this public. But i don't think jagex targets us much in our way of autoing, and if we release smart to public there'll be many more SRL autoers and we'll start getting targeted. I know we can only run one or two smarts at a time, but we run them all the time because we can be on the computer n run them! people who don't have smart they only auto when they have no intention of being on the computer.

that's cus we're all generous and make all our scripts JR Memb. n cus in JM not matter how bad the feed back is u get more than in membs :p

The only Members script I ever used was Tara's chicken killer lol.. I spend 95% of my time on srl now just reading threads in the Members News & Discussion(Many interesting things to read) since I quit rs=/
