Please write down a paragraph about Yourself.

Hello all,
This would be my 3rd and hopefully final time applying. The first time was horrible. I used an auto buyer… The second time I used this script, and the only thing that people said was the “walking doesn’t have fail-safes”. Well I’ve changed that and more. I'm a Kyab member if that means anything to you (Probably doesn't). Well if you say no please tell my why and I will fix it ASAP. None of this would be possible with out all you guys.
Thanks for reading,

*turns the chair around*

I've been waiting for you, Myles-san.

I'm leaning towards a yes, but what is wrong with FindVarrockRoadColor?

Harry

I have the same question as n3s. It is a yes for me. Yet, just add //Tarajunky <3 after the FindVarrockColor thing.

MylesMadness

2008-01-05 16:05:24

It would find the wall color instead of the road color

You're Asian?

And I think when you use bitmaps, don't you have to use some sort of tolerance or deformed function?

n3ss3s

2008-01-05 16:08:01

Oh, I remember having the same problem, do a FindColorsSpiralTolerance, then go thru all the points until you find one that isn't surrounded by white in any dir, and then do Result := GetColor(TPA.x, TPA.y); and exit :)

Oh, I see. Dumb question, you aren't tagged w/ azn lol

@ Myles : N3ss

I'm going to say yes, it looks better than my application.

Few problems, though. You have a blind click, rely on symbols, and have it set up so the pick is always in the first slot. If it isn't, you carry around a spare ore. You could have just used a dtm of the ore, and chosen for it to bank all, then have it scan for sapphires emeralds and the like.

It looks like your tolerance for rocks is a bit low, but I'm not sure on that.
You chose 'GetAllLevels' when you only have it set to talk about level 15, which I assume is mining.

MylesMadness

2008-01-05 16:16:59

Thanks JackLKrawl.
@hy and N3ss, you 2 haven't voted yes yet but you said you would. I'm not meaning to be rude but I'm just so jumpy now.

I will vote yes if you tell me how you could've add a working failsafe to your walking :) Don't over think it, very simple :)

Santa_Clause

2008-01-05 16:26:27

…This is too simple. The walking is unreliable. You have 2 repeated functions there, from what I can see.

This:

    end else
begin
Inc(trys)
end;

Cane be shortened to this:

    end else
Inc(trys);

Make sure you have semi-colons everywhere, or LordGregGreg might come and bight you. Responding, DDTM Loading and Antiban is pretty much half of the script. The responder is a bit repetitive…once again, no. Sorry.

also I can see you've edited the script since applying. Im not a big fan of that:( lemme think about it

Why? Lol.

Your script looks good, you seem fairly competent (No nooby mistakes). Unfortunately there are already a ton of VEM's and you didn't do anything to stand out from them.

Couple of things:
1.) "4. Start script Logged In!" - Uh, why say that?
2.) Why require the pick to be in the inventory? Incorporate features that allow for wielded pickaxes.
3.) Autoresponder will respond to itself.
4.)

If findSymbol(x, y, 'mining site') then
begin
Mouse(x, y, 2, 2, True)
flag;
end else
begin
Mouse(602, 129, 6, 6, True)
Flag;
end;
if not (findSymbol(x, y, 'mining site')) then
begin
Writeln('We are lost. Logging out')
Logout;
end;
Fix standards here and that 2nd search for FindSymbol didn't do anything. Maybe do an end else Mouse(x, y, 6, 6, True); so it will click on the mining symbol.

Things I liked:
1.)

begin
OldTab := GetCurrentTab;
GameTab(Random(14) + 1);
GameTab(OldTab);
end;
Thats cool. Don't know why, but I like it.
2.) You have radialwalk and effective (utilizing autocolor) use of DDTM's.
3.) "NextPlayer(LoggedIn)" Thats original. Forgot a ; though.
4.) You seem to have a good knowledge of SRL and SCAR.

Its a somewhat simple script but you do a lot in a small amount of lines.

Yes from me.

The blind click looked to me like it was just at the center of the minimap to stop mining. I don't think that thats unusual, or would cause a problem.
But I'm curious, how would you do 'NextPlayer(LoggedIn);'?

R0b0t1

2008-01-05 18:22:57

What? Calling NextPlayer() with the arg as LoggedIn is safe… As something would have caught it first :).

The R0b0t1 votes yes. May others after me have such as my enlightenment.

MylesMadness

2008-01-05 18:25:07

yeah the blind click in the middle of the screen and nextplayer(LoggedIn) is if your still logged in because you didn't fail loggedin will return true and make it so your player is still runs after the loop is done. Exact opposite for if you failed.

for clicking the center of the screen try these coords:
MMCX, MMCY (minimap center)
MSCX, MSCY (main screen center)

i liked it. n3ss3s right when he says the walk isn't failsafe, i also see that you used a blind click as a safe. If you want to answer n3ss3s question i'd direct you to The Claw's flawless scripting tutorial ;)

edit:
and you use SRL player form, beautiful.

procedure RespondBack(Find, Say: TStringArray);
var
I, R: Integer;
begin
for I := 0 to GetArrayLength(Find) - 1 do
if InChat(Find[i]) then
begin
Writeln('Found Text ' + Find[i] + ', Responding')
R := Random(GetArrayLength(say));
Typesend(Say[R])
Writeln('Said ' + Say[R])
exit;
end;
end;
i <3 u for that procedure.

re-edit: i'm sure there's something like FindColorsMulti, or you could use FindObjCustom which would look better and be faster than this:

if FindColorTolerance(x, y, 10596274, 200, 150, 500, 500, 1)
or FindColorTolerance(x, y, 8950933, 200, 150, 500, 500, 1)
or FindColorTolerance(x, y, 9017755, 200, 150, 500, 500, 1)
or FindColorTolerance(x, y, 7900302, 200, 150, 500, 500, 1) then

The no was probably Hyper.
