Grand Prices

Well, guys, here it is, the Bèta release of Grand Prices.
What is it? Well, Grand Prices combines the power of SCAR and SRL with php, this script SCAR script (which I am not releasing) checks for the prices of all* items in Grand Exchange, and saves em to a database, Here's where php comes in, php takes the prices from that database and puts it on a searchable website.

The website is: http://www.grandprices.net/

The prices get updated *almost* every day, and they come with a nice graph, so you can see which item raised from price, and which item dropped

Please, check for yourself.

*Only tradeable items, and for now free items are supported, if you like this service, please donate and/or click ads, to let us be able to buy members accounts which scans for the prices

Very good idea. But isn't Runescape going to make their own website where players can see prices soon? I thought I read that in one of the updates.

Its REALLY REALLY NICE. SRL / SCAR is getting better than a lot of websites. If we can just add quest guides we'd might be able to reach runehq and zybez lvl.

Also try and add commas to the prices if you can.

Most armour sets are in now. Except for some with a very long name.

I just read abut that jagex will put somethin similar on there website, they told us in 2004 summoning was coming, after 4 years it will come out, finally, let us hope they won't put this online soon either, if they do, well, this thing just opened doors for me and for the community, I showed people and myself that I (we) can do this, and for the community, it shows that scripts don't need to be static, and that we can make dynamic scripts with the power of other progrmming languages, in this case, php.

If JaGEX will put their script online, let us see if we can make it even better, and if we can't, well then, it was fun to make, and we go on with something else…

Wtf? Why would you stop? Just read the value's from their site! Yours is at least way cooler! Just keep adding those graph's! Maybe try to make something that gives advice on what to buy :p

I'll click ads for you (if it keeps site running). Anyways add a Dragon Axe thing, also is there any certain time the prices get updated everyday? Is it like auto 12:00am prices reset? Or you run script whenever you want and it gets knew prices.

I suggest you should have the most "fluctuated" price from each category on the main page. For instance, you can say out of the ores, mithril went down/up the most. Also for armor sets, logs, etc.

New history thing looks great :p but the thing that says how much it has risen or dropped by is doing it from the first day that the price was recorded. so if it started at 10 then went to 15 gp, then dropped by 10 gp to 5 gp, the history chart will say it dropped 5gp…would it be better to have it show the changes from the last time the price was updated? or maybe have an option to show overall change, or the latest daily change?

you can also add street price to that =D

You've got yourself a whole army of minions clicking the ads!

You should add an comparing method like you can do in the runescape highscores..

So I can find an way of making lots of money fast :P

have like predictions, would be hard but like if a price has increased 3 days in a row, have a top 10 of which to sell or buy??

i know someone who develops software like that, however he's 16 and gets paid over &#8364;1200 a month for it, so if you can do it, it'd be better to spend your efforts elsewhere lol

very nice. lol. almost like doing the stock market except this one is subject to our own change meaning we can purposefully fluctuate the price by buying for more or less.

i have adsense, and i get paid 33 cents per click on my website, i've clicked about 10 timees on srl.

edit: oh ok ma' =p guess my site is so newbish that i get so few clicks that i get a higher cpc =p

No, cuz today only 1 person clicked, and from that click, its 0.82$, other clicks get me like 0.09$, so it really differs…

Why don't you make it player edited? Making it player edited would be better for prices as it would be like a stock market. Just an idea :D.

I also thought that RuneScapians will be able to access some kind of website where they can see which prices are what on the Grand Exchange, but this is great though! Nice recent updated prices aswell.

How come sometimes the dates on the graphs are not in the right order? Like on pure ess it starts at 11th of Jan, the middle date is the 6th, and the ending date is the 12th.

You should make something to compare 2 items.. In that way you can find 2 items which will make profit :p

I was wondering what one has to do to get banned on your website. Because I haven't checked it in like 2 weeks and then I sign on and it says I've been banned…

Also, you haven't updated it in 3 weeks…

Nice, though yeah…armor sets are still missing…

Also, once when I logged in it sayd something like "Sorry, you're banned", tryed logging in again, then got in.

Also when I try to use watchlist it says I need to log in, though I am.

I asked Drunk about this to, it says you are banned to if your account name doesn't exist or the pass is wrong

so its like a stock thing for those of us who actualy have enough money to invest?
