I'm in a predicament: I currently have 2.5 (2 x 1gb, 1 x 512mb) gigs of ram, going to buy myself an additional 4 gigs (2 x 2gb). My motherboard supports up to four modules. Thus, I will be ditching the 512mb stick. Might give it away, might sell, idk. Here's my problem: My OS, XP Home, only supports 4 gigs of ram. Thus, I'll be wasting two gigs and a lot of money. I know XP Pro x64 supports more (128gb max), but as far as I know, you have to have XP Pro x32 to upgrade to x64, and I don't.
Any recommendations?
Note that I'm keeping this PC (well, the OS, atleast) completely legal. Last time I pirated an OS, it was just a waste of time. I'll probably end up buying xp pro, but hey, maybe not.
