Today my friend (lvl 80) and i (lvl 78) went to the wildy to train on greaters. I was packed with lobs and bunch of runes. After like 20 mins, i was on the west side of the ruins and bam random magic attack from like no where (no yellow dots on map) hit me for 20 damage. I eate and ran off to my friend. Then a lvl 75 Revelant Warewolf (something like that) attacked us both with magic and froze us. I was like wtf, a lvl 75 monster, like kill him. So we attacked him and got him to a little bit more than half health, and i ran out of food, so i started running away. But my little escape failed. So i binded the ghost and ran away again. This time random magic attaks came from where i was before, and got me to 1 hp. Then i put on protect from magic, and kept running. There were not yellow dots on map, and the magic attack from the ghost killed me. I got pretty pissed off because i lots like 1k natures and a 3k earths and waters, and 10k airs.:mad: So yeah thats my story. I hope jagex takes off those dumb@ss ghosts.

Ouch, dang that sucks. lvl 80 and 78…I think I'd be able to pwn when I was that lvl. Well, I am a pure, so that doesn't really count. Sorry bro.

try mining rune up there with those things!!! I made my rune miner a member (to mine in heroes guild) b/c i got killed 3 times in a row just trying to get up there…and they'll follow you through the entire wild…ridiculous

lol, and i was gonna get my mining up so i can mine rune, but i guess i wont anymore cause probally be impossible with those stupid things around.

If they remove them things would be ridiculous. The wild would be a peaceful place to get free big bones, runes, rune ore, and train on lessers.

lol same thing happened to me today but luckily i had ring of life on me..im lvl 79 also

pretty easy to kill them tho they hit very high!
use mage protect fireblast em(highest f2p spell)

heh, no worse then a clan of pkers. don't complain, you should have been prepared, those things are easy as heck to get awayfrom/kill…

I used to train thieving at the rouges castle… Dunno if I can still do it.

I went up to finish up mage areana, and then I was walking back to the bank down by the new game, and those things froze me. I used protect from mage, started to run, got froze again. Then went at it with the claws spell, but then my prayer ran out. I got my face owned. They hit a 20 on me 2 times and the rest were over 15.
Later I went back with nothing to see what they were. THere are three of them and they all are not extremly high lvls, but they hit with the areana spells(I think)
BEWARE OF THEM.

I seriously hate those too. I am having second-thoughts about getting a level 3 to 85 mining.

yeah those ghosts are complete bs, they just heal too, wildy is ruined =( i hope jagex fixes this, complete BS!!! :mad: :fiery:

i just killed a revenant werewolf with my lvl 43 mage, so they're not too hard to kill for a lvl 80

:eek: I forgot about these things. Recently I was walking around wildy for the fun of it with a buncha good stuff (rune, whip, zam book, etc). It felt good that I couldn't die, but now I know otherwise -.-

Then again I spose a 97 could kill them…but still…

Do they drop anything good?

i was walking through the wild all the way to mage bank but i didnt see any ghosts. when i teled out of mage bank i saw this weird thing, a weird goblin i think and it teleblocked me and dissapeared. kinda weird

EDIT: i just logged in again and somewthing was throwing ice darts at me, so i checked and found a relevant ork i think so i started to ran to mage bank and on my way there was 2 more orks, this is god dam stupid!

EDIT EDIT: i logged in once again and this time a players was running towards me so i asked what he was doing, nothing much..just looking around he said. and i said have u seen the ghosts? what ghosts? he said.

and then i saw 3 ghosts coming, so i said oh my god tele to mage bank!!! because he had really good stuff.
so he teled and they were hunting me! i started to run and then when i didnt have any food left i atked one of them, a ork and i almost killed him =P but that idiot just healed! gah

I were killing green dragons and i killed 4gd's and had to run 4times because of those freaking ghosts.
Next day my slayer task was to kill earth warriors and in 10minutes i got attacked 6times by those ghosts, almost died 2 times because of their freezing spell, hitted like 23, 12, 22….etc pretty hard to try run and eat your lobs.

I died twice trying to get a team cape. Protect use protect from magic and range since from what it seems they use both and hit 20+ with both?

Has anyone actually killed one and know what they drop? Is it worthing staying close to wildy edge and trying to kill them?

all it drops like 1-2k coins i think.
and if your trying to get away from one dont run in a big area try to go around corners and into the trees cus then it cant get you with its freezing spell and you can get away. You normally have to run far or a couple of minutes later you will see it again.
Theres also a lvl 126 revenant ghost in the wild but when this one goes past it doesnt attack me for some reason :S

i was reading some were that the ghosts in the wildy are like players as they can use anti posen on themselves and heal them selves and allso use all 3 of the combat triangle. i have seen one to and yes like some one said there not a hig level they hit me for 22 dameg whals i was killling red dragons.

nah no problems with rune mining.i got a cb lvl 85 rune miner.

i have mined 80 rune ores since the update…which is a cool 960k

The "ghosts" are jagex trying to say there are still big dangers in the old wilderness. Pretty much all they are is the "ghosts" of pkers or people in the wilderness trying to get a cheap kill. Basically they're supposed to act like old school pkers abiding by the old rules of the wilderness. IE you won't be attacked by a reverent outside the level range that you're in.

All in all, they're a new random event for a locational place.. something jagex hasn't done yet. Now, like this whole new wilderness escapade jagex is trying to put off, this random event isn't as perfect as the reason.

Plus, there HAD to be a reason jagex didn't remove the wilderness warning from the game.. you had to almost EXPECT something like this.

Me and my friend were killing the chaos ele when two of those 126's came and raped me hard (in a dark corner where noone could see) while my friend got away.

Yay, 500k worth of pixels gone. :D
