Someone give me a project...

Guess what, CHRISTMAS BREAK! However, I'm out of ideas and haven't been able to focus enough lately (Due to my mania problem) to come up with a project to keep me occupied… Think of something good, could be rs related as long as its not making a script and is actually doable… If I don't have something to do, I might end up blowing myself and half my city up :D
Edit: I could write the sound thing if there's still intrest? Also, just because it's "not possible" doesn't make it not doable, take SMART for instance. ;)

Yes, the sound thing!
Or maybe what you just posted in the dev section (or atleast an example of what you mean, cause I don't get it).

You're flagged all the time, have been for 8+ months ;)
IDK what you all are into now, but the updater that I wrote for KYAB (never gave to solar ;)) still works… I could write ONE method to return your current position and stick it into SMART. With that information, and the information you can get with scar (eg., minimap angle), walking could be flawless. Also, I don't know what all you know about the client, but whenever anything is done client side (eg., strange box) the info about it is stored in the settings array… That could solve the quiz random, certers, and I think gravedigger as well (in addition to some others). It would be faster and 100% accurate :p
Edit: If I do the sound thing, tell me what you need it to do ;)

Aah, but thats not fair, we can solve anything, anytime, anywhere :p. Speed up SMART so i can run more? Also, for the sound thing.. Is it possible to get the sound of 1 window, instead of the whole output buffer?
EDIT: I just got an very good idea! Since you know so much, why not take the time to share your knowledge ^^. Make a tutorial including everything about maths,c, java ^^.

1. Location vars intergrated in SMART would be nice
2. Settings array ftw, make that one too, I want a Leo solver :) My pure needs prayer, so I can make it a "bounty-pure" (25 pray, maybe I'll go straight to the 33, not sure).
3. The sound thingy, of course intergrated within SMART.
4. Paintdebug system for SMART! Something like iBot pro has, that a scripter can draw stuff at the SMART window without interfering the minimizing :D
Sort summary: make scar+smart owns all :f:

Why check for something you already know you have :) And no, the stuff I have still works from last summer, its a lot better than KYAB. IDK, any random that open something on the screen should be in the array…

1 is 100% doable, 2 is a little more interesting, 3 would not be part of smart, it could work with normal or smart, 3… I'll give you a glasspane to draw on, how about that? (shouldn't be too hard to get working at all)

SoundDetection. Ow baby…yes!
Specifics ;), it would be easiest if I knew exactly what you need for sound comparison. For instance, do you just want a method to copy samples into an array for a specified number of samples, or do you want a "wait for a sound" system? And if you have any algorithms that you need to work really fast, throw em at me ;)

2. Sound detection
3. Add me on msn and teach me everything you know
4. Prove string theory

Totally separate of the inner workings of smart: SmartGetFieldInt is surprisingly fast…
procedure getPlayerPos(var x, y: Integer);
begin
x:= SmartGetFieldInt('oa.a') + SmartGetFieldInt('nf.j.db') shr 7;
y:= SmartGetFieldInt('dd.b') + SmartGetFieldInt('nf.j.nb') shr 7;
end;
Draynor bank for instance:
Successfully compiled
3091, 3244
Successfully executed
Edit: Also, I'll have a DC that you can set as the handle for a TCanvas and draw onto it however you want to after you turn debug mode on. In addition, you can set the transparency color to do whatever transparency you want to do. I'll implement the control code in the dll tomorrow and will see if i can upload a test copy ;)

I've done a little tweaking and managed to get the client to load at exactly the same speed it does in the real browser… That means for all of you that use the signed client, you're looking at like 10 seconds max ;)
SmartSetRenderWhileBlocking, (long name eh?) will drop the cpu usage by 10-20% by disabling 'visible graphics' while you auto. it can be turned on and off seamlessly, might add a button on the main screen for it…
I'm gonna add in two buttons, render while blocking and debug graphics…
Example of the debug graphics:

Anything else you all want in SMART? I've already got enough for you all to get to any statically reachable field int's or int[]'s, so that will handle the location and settings array.
Statically reachable fields follow this pattern:
Class.StaticFiled[.InstanceField]+
to any depth…

Example of what the settings array can do for you. Assuming the index is the same, this returns the button (0, 1, 2) that is the correct answer to the strange box. Can someone say 4 line box solver? :D
function BoxAnswer: integer;
begin
result:= (SmartGetFieldArrayInt(SettingsArray,312) shr 24) and $FF

hey ben, how do you find that settings array in a deob?
another suggestion, make it load the names of stuff from a file or website, so if any updater breaks, we can update it by hand.
I'v noticed that a lot these days, people are so hung up on automaticly updating, and updaters, they've forgotten about simply updating by hand.

Actually, the field finding part of my updater still works for the most part (the last time I even ran it before today was over the summer). But ye, the variable paths will actually be in the scar script, so its fully extendable/fixable. The paths are good, location works and the array is there, i'm just not sure on the array format anymore. I want a box to test this, afaik, the box index should still be the same… ;)
const
SettingsArray = 'jb.k';
PlayerX = 'nf.j.db';
PlayerY = 'nf.j.nb';
BaseX = 'oa.a';
BaseY = 'dd.b';
procedure getPlayerPos(var x, y: Integer);

y:= SmartGetFieldInt(BaseY) + SmartGetFieldInt(PlayerY) shr 7;
end;
procedure dumpSettingArray;
var
i: Integer;
begin
for i:= 0 to 1999 do
Writeln(IntToStr(i)+': ' + inttostr(SmartGetFieldArrayInt(SettingsArray,i)));
end;

benland.. i want autocoloring…
for everything
i want that function to be able to determine what the color variance is set at, so you pick the color, and it will find the root of it. then the next time you run it, it will use that root to get the exact color.
i know it may not be possible, but its an idea (that you already had i belive)

afiak the different colors are stored somewhere in the client… anyone want to go field hunting? No one in client hacking has had any reason to look for colors… They might very well be in the settings array lol, 2000 indexes to go :)
Munk got me a box, and the box index from a year ago still works! Bam. (Going to upload a test copy of V2 in the SSRL SMART section.)

No KYAB stuff in this (I don't want solar all over my ass ;)) but it can preform the same tasks. No need for the DLL to ever be replaced because the paths are in the script.

you're going about this the wrong way, for NPCs you can just get their name, and check if it equals to "Goblin" or whatever.
as for Objects, for now i just use IDs, but there is a way to get their name as well, never really looked tbh, i only worked out Objects last update.

I've figured out a way to do this, it will require a little magic, but its possible. ;) As for objects, I assume you know how to convert between ID and Type and Location right? Anyway, I'll get to work on this system and making it usable ;)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most client variables (that you need) wither Objects or Ints? Edit… forgot the string wrapper, is that a byte[] still?
Yakman
2007-12-21 13:12:43
yeah the bitshifting to get location and id and all that is great.
But theres that other class which I call ObjectDef, and that contains the objects name and actions and all that, but i think it only starts existing when you move your mouse over that object, or something like that, I'm not even sure its worth it.
Its the same with ItemDef, for both, the client requests its name when its needed.
but there is a cache of them, about space for 50 i think, maybe that would be worth getting… who knows.
