SRL Archive - RS has been updated.

That's what will be happening in the near future to all the new people that come into the game.

What do we pay for? We pay for the cool membership places and items. Those membership items won't be members for long, seeing as what Fagex has done. The duel arena was a fun place for some members to hang out fight there friends. Now, the duel arena is for all f2p and p2p, so now, we don't pay for the duel arena. Party Room???? What happened there??? It used to be in Seers, but now they made it for f2p and for p2p. Now what's going to happen. What other things will become f2p?

The noobinater: Remember last time?? We should just go and pick some flax.
The shoobinater: Lol, thats what noobs do. We should go craft some nats.

The point i am trying to make is that Jagex will keep giving free to play some more and then some more members things. Is it worth to pay to play? DIscuss… NICELY!

P2P and F2P will never merge together. If there is only F2P then Jagex will close the site down because they will no longer be making a steady stream of income. F2P got duels, but not duel tournaments, and whats the use of a duel if all you can make is 3k every 15 minutes? Also, P2P have a bunch more quests, skills, items, etc.

Not to forget that they can do clues and have a much greater ways of gaining resources. Example: F2P-Players have the Mining Guild to get coal. Members have the Coal Trucks, The Ardoughne Mine and more.

The thing is, the mining guild is probly better than all of those examples, there are only a few good mining places. You just have to do some hard quests for them.

Members have advantages in most/all training.
Fishing -
Only place to fish for lobsters or swordfish are on Karamja. In p2p, theres places right by banks.

Runecrafting-
You have a abyss and pouches, which allows you to make less trips.
F2p can't make higher level runes.

Magic-
Have more spells, many of which are very strong.

Crafting-
Much easier in P2P, orbs are pretty quick XP.

Ranged-
Much cheaper to make your own arrows. More places to train.

The recent changes were just made to dampen the blow of the massive overhaul they did to stop RWT.

Duel Arena-
Can't really PK anymore, so they allowed F2P access to this.

Party Room-
Can't have drop parties anymore, so they allowed F2P access to this.


The majority of updates continue to be p2p only. I was surprised when they allowed Runecrafting to be f2p.
Members have a ton of quests, while f2p hasn't had any new quests, other than runecrafting, since classic.
The f2p land hasn't change much since classic either, while members area is expanding weekly/bi-weekly.

Thanks for your info, its just like they keep giving cool members only things away but they havent added any member only stuff in a while THAT HELPS MEMBERS!!

i think runescape is not worth the time to play, even when its free. im totally -off- runescape.
