Well, the private ventrillo server I rented for srl members only, was just invaded by mark (a guy from sp0rk-eh forums). Jesus and I asked him how he got into the vent, and how he found out.

He told us he was round timer's house. We asked him what else he knew. He told us he knew all about smart. So I kick banned him.

The point is, there are clearly a bunch of insecure accounts on srl members. Either members leaking, or members passwords being easily guessable.

What I'm saying is, firstly, Gj timer.

Secondly, I won't be releasing big projects into srl members anymore, unfortunately (which I was planning to do in less than a month).

SRL Members is one big leak.

Mark pm'd me asking not to tell, but seeing as how Sp0rk posted here & I need to back him up…

He says he was @ Timer's house & Timer had Ventrilo up, he looked & saw srl-forums on it so he copied it down or something like that.

Im slowly starting to support the idea that there was this new user group like

"Teh Members Gang", you know what I mean, so the bigger projects like SMART etc would only be released there, since a lot of the apps that get in become very… Quiet? Go about five pages back in the applicants or so, somewhere there is couple good applicant's around The Claws applying time, for example Riddare Ralf, when was the last time anyone saw him?

I am not accusing him of anything, but just for example.

Thats pretty bad. I haven't even thought about telling people about smart. There are definently some people in members that just get in then don't contribute at all.

My goal is to publish at least 1 good script per longevity-bar I have ;) :D

I currently have 4 scripts that used to work or still work, and I have 4 longevity bars :D If I could get an idea I would begin making it :D

I hear that… sadly they killed having a army for money… Its only good if you want to level all their skills on it. I definitely want to make another solo script.

Well we already knew smart was going to be leaked… I think there is some leakage in members but most if not all know that whats in members has to be kept secret. All members know that if its leaked to the general public they are looking at a temp ban if not a permanent ban. I still trust members forums if I want to release something just for us and not for the public. A couple leaks I think is minor compared to the larger population of SRL.

I told ya'll that he probably knew just 1 day after the update. He was on Ventrilo when we spoke a little bit of our thoughts about what (It wasn't released yet) "The Release" was. Mark picked up a lot of it before he was threatened with death if he didn't leave :D (Just a joke of course)

Wow…. I hate leaker's! It makes us very trustworthy good members look bad IMO. Are mark and timer gunna get banned?

Someones guessed my pass before, but he told me and didn't take anything. This, however, was way before SMART.


But it really ticks me when people leak on purpose, to their "friends" or other people. They end up being back stabbed anyway, so its not really a good idea. Especially when it is someone else's intellectual property.

Well, I think we've come up with some good suggestions. I have no idea why the admins don't do anything about it. They're not bothered?

Applying in a bit different way, like, we are all already accepted, but just to re-apply to parse out the inactive etc.

I think people should be randomly demoted to SRL Junior Member, and have to reapply. All at once would be…time intensive, let's say.

Well, i have been in cheating communities for a long time, There will always be leaks, someone with give to friends and so forth, i don't think it can or ever will be stopped honestly.. I mean i hate leaker's as much as as anyone nor have ever done it.. but really what can you do?

You can stop the leak by not releasing the project. Oh, wait. That defeats the purpose entirely.

Auth systems, and protection against them being cracked. 1 ip per login. Sorted.

I hate how they accept the fact that srl has leaks. I want it to be perfect. But then again, they probably know better.

That 1 IP per login doesn't work for me since I have a dynamic IP… So I'd be screwed there.

Everyone should still stay a SRL Member but have to apply for a Senior SRL Member instead of everyone a Junior Member again.

And lately i still see alot of un-active SRL Members they could of came on one day and took SMART, but who knows. Wont be easy getting rid of leakers, but we have to try something?

now that SMART is already out, its pointless to do that. Im sure the admins/mods already thought of all of this. Plus doing big things like demoting everyone is not only annoying for new people that just got accepted. Its the mods/admins/devs that would have to re accept everyone. which = not vey good

Oh by the way, Widget told SRL Junior Members about SMART too…

I reckon on the first January we should have a complete purge of our systems, with jagex updating runescape to stop cheaters we'll loose alot of people.

This way we place less strain on the servers due to having no inactives.

I reckon we should go through another period just like we did after the aryan collapse when we pull together and just nut it out.

Ive never been a fan to leechers, for example i posted a free copy of my cow killer hide banker here without any auth system in it and within three days it was all over sythe.

There has to be someway how to create a password gateway to protect such important things as smart.

Make it so that nobody can apply if they have been here for less than 3 months, and if they show either leecher qualities such as not posting on help boards or supplying scripts than they cant apply.

The next few months are going to be extremely hard and require alot of work and effort the last thing we need is people ruining the amount of effort we put in.

Dynamic IP addresses do not have a range… Lol. They jump… Or at least mine does.


But how are the next few months going to require lots of work? They just stopped us from trading.

That would defeat the purpose of SSRL. SSRL is for a small group of the top people in the community, also the most trusted.

It might be that SRL-Members is one big leak, but atleast the things that get leaked are damn nice :D! It's not like we only produce leakage. Most of us all make (or made :p) great scripts. I still think that we have given more than we've leaked.

I remember getting VIP status at a certain forum, and there were people trying to make a passcracker for SRL forums to get members accounts & there was one guy on the thread who told them they didn't even need a members account, he would just give them any members scripts they wanted. That's just how it works. Maybe someone should start a petition about the re-applying of SRL Members?(I would, but I couldn't be bothered right now :)).

But if everyone got forced to re apply for membership, the ones who failed to get in would just majorly leak SMART and all the other things we have, just to get back at us. That is not a very good eventuality, and by the time we banned it would be all over like every site in the world =/

SMART has already been leaked. I'm sure it's slowly spreading. It's only a matter of time before it gets big.

Re-applying is paving the way for the future, protecting us against leakers for great things to come.

No, but it does prevent those that don't really use the forums from one day turning up, finding some awesome members only thing and selling it on sythe and stuff.

Smart was SSRL only, Star admitted that. I dont remember ever hearing it again after Star admitted it, until it was released to members for us to use :). Oops almost forgot what my point was, anyway, so obviously it was never leaked from SSRL/Devs/Admins. So obviously everyone in those groups are clean.

It was released to SRL members because Benland wanted it to be, there was no leak before while it was private to SRL/Devs only. Because SSRL had smart long before SRL members did, and it was never leaked.

And originally Ben wanted to do a full release but it was agreed on to release to members only at first and see how that went. As you can tell, it went as some of us predicted.
