Rs Invisibility?

Well, I got a drill demon today, wearing full wizard (t) and when my character did the star jump, at the height of the jump, you could see through the middle of his body. His body and legs de-tached.

Basically, I know the rs outfits can sometimes be quite exploitable.

What I was thinking, was that we could somehow trick the servers into thinking we just put on an outfit that doesnt exist, i.e. an invalid outfit id, etc.

In theory, this would either be rejected by the server, or rejected and that part of your body be invisible (seeing as it has nothing assigned to it).

Therefore, if we did this with all of the body parts, We'd be a fully invisible rs player. Maybe going around bounty hunter killing people?

You get the idea.

I think it is partly possible, because there was an exploit exactly like this on Half life 2 : Death Match, where you could assign yourself to an invalid skin and run around invisibly.

Also, jagex have been proved to be exploited in the past (assigning beards to woman through packet editing).

Just a brain storm I had. I think it's possible…

Maybe it isn't in the spirit of srl though…

I posted this in srl members because I genuinlly think it's possible. I'll do a bit more research into it tomorrow. Gotta go to work now.

Hmm, I don't think memory editing can do it, my outfit changed normally =\

i think thats why they have a default outfit…

I bet if the server does not recognize it as a set of clothing it will go to default settings.

What you saw was just the best graphics RS can buy :).

I'm not talking about memory editing, I'm talking about packet editing. I think it's a good idea. May not work, but I'm sure there is some remote chance that it may work.

Idk if fakawi does, but Wizzup should unless he forgot :p. Same thing happened to me when I first got helper bear(access to srl-members).

Packets are encrypted.

I realise this, but we may not have to break the encryption. Just send packets already sent.

You sure about that? Last I heard, the only encrypted packet was the password packet that gets sent when logging in. RC4.

But Jagex might watch for commands that don't make sense…
