Well, to our two newest members of the thread, the answers to both of those questions lie in the Dev. Diary, which Horsechaser points out was likely largely taken off of this thread.

The code isn't the problem, but Andrew feared escalations of the sophistication of the RWT's macro's to the point that Jagex could no longer detect them. The 'source' of the problem that people keep talking about is what Jagex is going after. That is, the ability to buy.

As long as the ability to buy gold online exists, RWT's will find a way, and players will put forth their credit card information (which is apparently stolen btw ).

The root of the problem is now gone, and the theory is that the Bots and RWT's as well as the Keyloggers and every other major rulebreaker will follow the Pkers to another MMO

In short, bots are easy to remake, and they're free since they're being payed for by stolen credit cards anyway. It doesn't matter how good Jagex's detection system is, it'll never be fast enough for RWT's to not make a profit. Maybe the drastic measures are warranted, and maybe they're not. But at the moment, we have no choice but to wait and see.

That's all the time I have. I actually have to study tomorrow, so I really hope there's another mod in here cleaning stuff up

So in other words, autoing on our mains wont be that bad after all :)

you still can drop your items but you need to wait 15 minits?

you can only drop (stuff visible to other players) if its equivalent to 3k or less…

Are they accusing us of credit card theft?

i dont understand why they do this info.
other game's can survive bots/autoers and real world traders.
if they just pay people to stand near yew longs to ban people…
or get a beter dectition system:P

The absence of RWT will affect the game. Jagex doesn't understand that the easy availability of money made the game fun. Without RWT, players actually must make their own money.

Because the GE has made merchanting nil.

They just killed it. What about the people who help out other people. Their stupid "Trades must be withing 3k of value" junk. Like I give tons of stuff away. And what about loaning money. I just loaned my friend money before update… Thats never gonna come back. And loaning armor. WTH is their problem

well prices of items that are autoed alot will go up. Because you cant really get the money off your autoers. So, really unless we find a way to trade items from autoers to our mains we will have problems. Now can we take them to the wild and use arrows and runes as the money and kill them? Does that have to apply to the 3k limit?

Well i have a huge feeling that yews, coal, all other ore are gonna sky rocket. So for now…….start autoing as much as possible. Then save it for january =].
