I think that they should up the trade limit to 50k-100k, then you can still transfer alot, legit or autoed goods, but transferring mass amounts of money would take to long to be worthwhile.

Yeah, they probably should make it bigger, maybe then there wouldn't be as much of a riot as there is. Even though, they're overreacting quite a bit.

They also lost probably thousands of dollars for the future. Yeah, smart update if you want to ruin your business.

my main was banned for drop-trading, or as jagex says, "real-world trading"…
i really dont see how thats cheating anyway..
and due to a prior offense that happpened wayyyy back..
back in a time when i used to have a "proffesion" of armor trimming..
my appeal was denied.
eventually the "brilliant" minds at Jagex should see the error in their ways,and i should get a chance for my account back!…but i doubt it..

and since this new update, and reversion by Jagex staff seems improbable, is autoing even worth it now?

They have to reverse it. I'm sure their staff is smart enough to come up with other ways to stop real world trading but keep the game fun (unlike the last 3-7 updates which were complete shit)

EDIT: HAHAH listen to this: This thread about macros/autoers has been there since May 1st 2007, and only has 3 posts, all by mods. Then the rants thing has 1 new page every second. Maybe jagex should work on autoers (something ppl don't care about) rather than gold sellers (something effecting the entier game). All they do to stop autoers are things that ppl cant even tell, like changing small colors.

that doesn't necessarily make it harder to bot some bots would pick up on the changes

SS = Swift switch.
it was a world switch program with a lot of function. from just a runescape client, to calculators to a irc chat. jagex dind't like it cause player could just switch world with one click. they banned world swith programs from there game…. tougshands of poeple get muted. at the end jagex said that the programs had to be different en that they had to remove switching world without waiting. today when you go the the irc chat you have to agree that you know that the makers are not jagex etc..

Lol. I dont think jagex realizes that the new update will send prices on certain items upwards due to the lack of autoers getting them. Such as yew logs those will go up soon if they havnt already. This update could make us alot richer if only we could figure out a way to transfer items. I think we just might have to use the bounty hunter. But the bad thing is we can get attacked by anyone. I would say take about 50k worth of runes/arrows in each time.
