KYAB and SMART

Macrosoft

I have just heard about "KYAB." Its supposed to make walking better. I was thinking, since they are both clients, shouldn't they be made one? Just a thought.

they are totally different from eachother. KYAB uses java to find out where the tiles are on the mm (and other stuff) and SMART uses a plugin that makes a bmp image to click on.

Thats not true.
In fact, there were made quite a few sub forums on it's initial release.
Solarwind took over the project on his own(Benland100 and solarwind made it), and then the forum moved his own site.
KYAB is not integrated into SCAR, like SMART is.

Yup, Wizzy and Fawki have staid out quite well of flaming @ KYAB/Solar, its Solar and Star who uhm… sometimes tend to have small arguments…

Flyboy propably hasn't posted in a KYAB thread xD

Well, since I wrote the part of KYAB that actually did something, it would be entirely possible to put them together, but its not going to happen. For that matter, you could also put ScarScape into SMART, but its not going to happen ;)

It won't happen. KYAB is a good tool, if you agree with it. If you don't, then don't use it.

I've never embraced KYAB because you have to use the signed client. I only use unsigned for all my autoing. I was pleasantly surprised to see that SMART can use either signed or unsigned. Originally I expected it to be signed only.

I think KYAB is best for things like tutorial island runners where you need to know exactly where you are and exactly what you're doing the whole time.

Or a quest runner. Things with a lot of walking.

For most other scripts I think it's kind of 'overkill' in a way. You really don't need all the extra information it provides to do most things well enough.

Is signed vs. unsigned really that big of a deal? I've used signed forever and it seems to work better than unsigned if anything; if it really was the only thing that kept you from "embracing" it, unsigned would be added to it, or atleast I think so.

Lalaji

How do you manage to use unsigned with random.dat? (without SMART)

since random.dat replaced uid.dat, i'd just been useing signed.

So couldn't BenLand100 do it if he wanted to but he doesn't? It would be cool to have the option chose to use SS but they would have to update a lot because SS breaks when RS updates.

no its not a really big deal, its a just a pain when one of your guys gets banned.

and SMART with KYAB?

i dont know.

thats sort of pushing the limits with the principle of scar being an auto-color clicker and not a bot.

Java Code can be integrated with SMART and controlled from SCAR. No modifications to SMART required. Thus no source from SMART is requried.

However just because something is possible does not mean it should be done.

The SRL Community does not support a java Component to SMART, SRL, etc.

You like to talk about things you know little about don't you? ;) Java code is built into and is an important part of SMART, and you can't just stick new code into it without modifying the rest of the dll, thus needing the source. Unless of course you were able to get Jagex to forward [somename].runescape.com/runescape.jar to a modified rs client of your choosing, and used [somename] as your world prefix…

well we need the source for this but ben could just host SS ( this is easy) and make it direct to there -,-
jeez

but guess what

we will not do this, because SRL doesn't support java -,- thus our bots will not run as long ( yes SS makes it easier for our bots not to get lost)

I believe that SRL doesnt support java knowlege of the client or in otherwords, reflection (Which is what KYAB uses) or anything else using BCEL on the rs client. I'm guessing SMART doesn't use that, which is why it is supported. If it does use some form of that, then i'm just completely lost. But i'm almost certain ScarScape does use that (It edits the client to make colors static and what-not, right? I've never used it so i don't know) so i don't understand why it is supported, or at least somewhat supported by SRL, when KYAB is pretty much not supported.

And while i do know that Fakawi has tried to get people to not flame KYAB or however you wish to phrase it, it still seems that a lot of people just hate KYAB without ever having used it or knowing almost nothing about it.

Personally i believe there should be a thread for everyone to discuss the matter, same goes for ScarScape and iBot. By that i mean, a place for everyone to discuss their views on each of these so that it doesn't end up all over the place whenever someone starts to talk about one of the above.

But on whether or not the features of KYAB could be added to SMART, i'd say it definitely could happen since Benland is magic, even though this might not need magic, but it's all up to what he wants to do. For someone to do it them self though, i believe they'd need the source.

ScarScape doesn't return information from the client, it is just a client (undetectable) that renders you able to make more complicated scripts without all the auto coloring.

I realize that, but i thought it did that through client editing? If not then nevermind what i said earlier about not understanding why it is accepted/supported :p

Oh, and something i never quite understood: If it does do that through client editing..then wouldn't that make it more detectable than reflection? At least, injection is more detectable than reflection, or so i thought, but then again i don't know if that's what it does by "client editing" or if it even does that through client editing.

It modifies the client. Detectability has not been statically studied. Nor is it know if Jagex bans all that it does Detect. With that said it was discussed in the CM that at one time they did send fields related to the color variblity back to the server. I am not familiar with what modification SS does to the Client. I can say this assumption. The less dectable it is the easier it is to break.

From what i have analysied Jagex most likely has many computations that determine if one is autoing. Alot of these are circumstantial thus they are selectivly used, not always used.

Mouse movement packets started Late Summer 2006. Trade Tracking both Trades and Drop Trades started January 2007. Jagex reflection checking their client started in Early Summer 2007.

This month they have elminated the harder to monitor forms of wealth transfer like duals, and shop. They now have a very good handle on wealth tracking.

Wonder what will happen 6 months from now.

I view SS as more of a temp fix to a problem. The problem dates back much further then those i list above. SCAR was designed for RSC, which has no varible colors. Look at the DTM functions they are all built around RSC. The variblity in color should be addressed by writing functions aimed at RS2 not by becoming dependent on SS.

Or unless I'm loading class data directly into the JVM. Remember, something has to load the runtime classes; just because you can put a modified classloader into the runtime jar does not mean you can mess with any code you please. But of course, you know more about SMART than I do… ;)

But yes, essentialy you could still modify how SMART works, and I fully expect you to exploit it and make money off of it. And no, I do not just use operating system API. A lot of it is api, but not all of it.

Mostly dead threads in a part of the forum almost nobody'd ever notice. But eh, they just have to look, right? :p Suppose it still does what i said though, so meh. Does that mean they're open to any form of debate? Though it would be stupid to just post there for the purpose of starting one either way. Smhh. You win xD

Oh and i agree with n3ss3s, i love all the compliments that get passed around :D

But, what would there be for Ruler to take from SMART and add into nexus? I only mean since the pro version can already do that SMART does, as far as i understand. Perhaps through different methods, but the same end effect nonetheless.

The comment was directed at my disbelief in making any sort of monetary profit in regards to runescape cheating and other things. It is possible but not going to happen. Once again, the final word is that this is not going to happen, so don't try to convince yourselves otherwise. Let it be known, trying to 'crack' SMART is a bad idea, and hacking into it is only going to start a war. At any rate, it would only be achievable by someone with a lot of Java knowledge.
