SRL Archive - General

ok first of all i have been trying for about 2 weeks now, atelast an hour or 2 a day, to get scar working for runescape. i have tried countless well-known scripts that are supposed to work but cant get a single one working. im pretty sure im doing everything right because non-srl scripts work.

1. i downloaded scar 3.13 from freddy website a week ago
2. opened it up, clicked under "file", "download srl" and "download includes"
3. redid step 2 yesterday to make sure i had the most recent versions
4. opened up the script, in this case "nielsies tut island runner version 0.59" from hellbb88's topic so it is most recent version
5. followed instrucitons, declared players, etc. dragged crosshair onto rs screen (im using scss, is this ok? i also tried it on regular runescape in mozilla firefox)
6. it says "user specified new rs window" so i pressed play, then it says "successfully compiled", then something about an error in line 2816
"[Runtime Error] : Exception: '<' is not a valid integer value in line 2816 in script C:\Documents and Settings\Andy2\Desktop\Tutorial Runner.Pub.0.59.scar"
but line 2816 doesnt have a '<', the line reads
"g := Decrypt(strings,strtoint(x));"



i pm'ed nielsie95 and hellbb88 and did not recieve a reply from hellbb88 and nielsie95 just said to read his post which i had already done.
so what is the problem? i really want to get scar working because otherwise all theses hours spent reading and testing were just a waste. thanks

Search the forums and download Subversion to get the latest SRL Download. Using the File > Download SRL method will only update you to SRL 4.0. We're currently at SRL 4 Rev #7.

That script isn't working because hellbb88 put some traps in the code in order to make sure people didn't leech it. Try reading the thread (especially the last 5-10 pages) and you should find an answer.

EDIT: where do i download srl 4 revision 7? i can only find srl 4, and revision 6, and theres not a download link on the page. i found the post by i think wizzup saying that rev 7 is coming out soon but i looked everywhere i could think and couldnt find the link to rev 7 download. also what is svn? do you need it? or is it just for extracting .zip folders?

there are lots of guides to set up srl and scar but all of them are for srl4 and now ppl are saying to use scar 3.12c instead of 3.13 and its so confusing cuz its all out of date so i dont know what to do or where to download srl 4 revision 7 cuz theres nowhere to donwload it, the link from the main page on this website is broken and none of the guides are up to date. can someone please take the time to help me out because you will also be helping all the other noobs who read this topic.

Edit (again): i downloaded srl4 rev 7 ( i think) i followed a guide to look up svn on google and donwload it but i didnt see the word srl on the website so i have no clue what it is and i went to tools on scar, options, then did allt hat stuff and im still getting the same message when i run the script.
