With the recent leakage of SMART, obviously some members cannot be trusted. We can narrow it down to no SSRL, since it was not leaked before it was released to members (or can we ?). Anyways, I think Dark_Sniper has come up with a sensable solution. Somehow make all the members re-apply. It would not be an easy job, but a necessary one? Maybe there is some alternative?

IMO I think we should make them all reapply… people who want to be an SRL member will easily be able to dig up a script and apply with it (one they made themselves).

Everyone who i see complaining would not deserve to be a SRL member any way… I mean it would not be that hard to reapply… and maybe it will stricken their thinking on who gets into SRL.

I can see the few downsides to this…. I still think its worth a shot.

But what about us, If we're not forced to reapply wont they kinda figure it out about SSRL? Or are we to stage our reapplications also?

we can also reapply no problem with me…

or say anyone with a script released to public… gets to remain SRL to help accept the members who deserve it back.

Yes, I reckon every SRL member should re-apply, but, I think they should get their own little title, and they should only see the public forums and a new applying forum, and if they don't reply within x weeks, they go public again.

But, probably a lot of people who won't get in, will be mad and leak SMART..

I don't believe any SSRL leaked SMART. And the member leaker/s was/were only one case and I'm not sure he/she/they should ruin the members for everyone else…

I only agreed to it because some memebers just suck at scripting XD.


Besides the funniest part, is it's too easy to predict it was going to be leaked in the first place…. and some of you guys act like you didnt know it would be.

It wasn't leaked out of the SSRL forum as far as I know, that's an accomplishment.

I agree.

Just don't release anything you don't want leaked to SRL. That's part of the reason for SSRL.

BTW you guys did a good job on the SMART release thread acting surprised.

Randomly demote members, a couple a day?

Would save us from being noticed, and it'd save us from having to go through like 500 applications in a week, but there's one problem I see…

'lesser' members would just let 'lesser' members back in again.

Two other ideas:

1: Claim to be experimenting with a 'temporary' mod status, make us all 'temp' mods, then do the demotion, then, a week or two later, say that the 'temp' modership just didn't pay off, and make us all members again

2: Mod us all :p

Ya I knew it was going to be leaked the instant it was released.

but getting out all the inactive people and people who vote yes to every app would be nice as well. going through 500 apps in one day would suck though. I do think that we should have dememberized some more people… more than the 150 guys you already got :p.

All I can say now is that i'm happy you got rid of at least 150 members.

If every SRL Member was demoted and needed to re-apply, you would be left with SRL Members that A) Can either script or pull out an old script and fix it up so it looks like they made it at short notice, B) Left with only active people and C) obviously care enough about the community to want to re-apply. You won't have any people that got free SRL Members, or "accounts" that don't post that still have access to the forums.

I say any SRL Member without a cup who hasn't been memberized within the past 3 months should have to re-apply. Nothing to do with leakers, just to rid of the leachers.
