Ok, well SMART works perfectly for me and everything, but I found little problem, and I'm not sure if it's me or SMART. While autoing, I think I logged out, but the screen kept on "flashing" between the Login page and the actual gameplay screen. ?

I think I'm seeing the same thing, except the screen appears to be jumping up and down.
It doesn't happen immediately. It will run normally for 20 or 30 minutes. But after longer periods of time I will pull it back up and the screen will be going haywire. It looks like it's still running okay, but it freaks me out so I always shut it down once it starts doing that.

That happened to me once; when I played a video on Windows Media Player.
YouTube nor music gave me any problems though..

Happens when switching users in XP.
Stop+start blocking let it return to normal.

You mean when switching players? I also see it on Vista, so it's not only an XP issue.
If you stop/start blocking, will that fix it permanently, or does it happen the next time a player logs in as well?
Also, does it actually affect how your players are acting, or is it purely a visible phenomena?
I hope Benland can track this down…

It *seems* it's only visible. Only when you switch back and activate there's a (small) change it'll fuck it, only had it once in 50 tries.
If you start+stop blocking, it'll stop. Once you switch users again it'll happen again.
Na I mean switching users (windows-L, that you enter your windows username/password loads your profile blablabla).

It doesn't effect it if it is kept minimized. If you start + stop blocking then it will fix it permanently. If I switch computer accounts that happens to me.

Here's what I've found:
Happens when changing graphics modes, ie, resolution, colors, etc. Basically, play any full-screen game, and it's gonna happen.
Fixed by block/unblock.

Yeah, that's how I fixed it (block + unblock). I don't think SCAR just keeps on going, though. My flashing screen never changed, and my players didn't get any boosts or anything. I think scar just tried to time out (but lucky I was there :P)

If your screen turns off, no worries. SCAR will still work. Do you mean it hibernates?

i know SCAR still works, but the smart screen flashes so it DOESNT work, i've tried everything but still no luck. and no it doesnt hybernate but it just turns off. idk whats wrong with it, its only S.M.A.R.T and not the regular rs client

how do you know if its not working if smart is minimized and the lid closed? its only when you come back does it not work?

Yea, I know exactly what the "problem" is. When you do something that causes windows to redistribute device contexts to each screen that already has one (logging out of windows, changing resolution, changing graphics cards (new monitor), some random update) it tries to give the client a new context (a SurfaceData in java) where I had replace it with my own so that it draws to scar… So what you are seeing is the "old" image and the client being drawn over and over on top of each other. As long as the logged in client is moving, you should be fine. But if the logged out client (look at the flames) is moving, or they are both moving, something weird is going on.
For the moment lets call it an 'Undocumented SMART Feature' :garfield:

Pfft… if there is any 'bug' I blame Windows. ;) Its not my fault Microsoft decides to randomly meddle with device contexts and failed to take into account that someone might want to hijack a screen for some reason… (h)

Oh, and everyone goes around hijacking dc's these days…
