SMART Scripts?

Harry

Should we have a new sub-forum here for SMART made scripts? Even though it is easy to edit your own scripts.. it would be nice to have scripts made especially for SMART.

I'm guessing there are already some SMART scripts made, and a subsection of SRL Member scripts would satisfy everything.

I disagree (totally). Maybe people should post a edited version of their script for SMART. But mainly, you don't have to edit something… So why would people waist there time on making 2 topics for the same script ^.^

Harry

Well, lots of scripts you DO need to edit a lot.

All you have to do is change the TypeSend and add a couple of lines at the beginning…

Like what? You can replace all the SMART interrupting procedures by empty ones.. I can use any script with SMART, i've edited my SetupSRL so it takes care of all the smart thingy's..

Once you have SMART installed correctly, the only editing that needs to be done to scripts, is to add 2 or 3 lines in your main loops and include SMART…. so , NO, there is no need to make separate scripts, when ALL scripts are universal.

Harry

Then my SMART is not installed right.. :| I read the tut, it is just too confusing for me I suppose :rolleyes:

{.include Smart.scar}

Just below Program ***;

first thing after the main begin:

  SmartSetup('ams3', false, false);
SetTargetDC(SmartGetDC);

There, you now have a SMART script.

Heh, for me its 2 lines, since I made a personal procedure in smart.scar.

{.include Smart.scar}
StartSmart(59, false, false);
Zomg! I just turned a ordinary script into a SMART script! /sarcasm

You need to use the world prefix, not world number.

Either use something similar to my SmartSetupEx, or steal the world prefixes out of the SCSS worlds.ini.

oh.. how do you set up SMART..??? you have to set-it up before using a SMART script?

BobboHobbo

Prefixes are easy to get. Just go on runescape and hover over a world:

http://au3.runescape.com/l1,p0,j1

au3 is the prefix in this world.

Timer, I see you replying in a few SMART threads. Have you even tried it running yourself? If you have, have you read the tutorial(s)?
I'm sure a lot of these questions are answered in a tutorial (or other threads).

nah i use smartsetupex so i can put the world number in. it turns out i had j2se runtime environment 5 or something like that, so i downloaded java 1.6 and it worked first time, it clicked, and typed perfectly. but it lags alot even with just 1 client…
