Well, I want to make a prison peter solver (well atleast attempter), but I dont want to sit down and wait till my char gets prison pete, so, if I'd add PlaySound(…) to FindNormalRandoms in my SRL, and I would auto on a VM, would I hear the sound in the umm.. is it called host?

The sound device is not there or at least not enabled by default, if I remember right, so you won't hear any sounds on the host.
The solution is to create a so called "Virtual Sound Card", which you can use to hear the sound. Read this guide on how to do it:

If you are talking about Microsoft Virtual Machine, then yes. And it should be pretty easy too. Just ask if you cant get it work, I'm willing to help.

On VMWare, the sound is on in your VM is the sound is on on your host, at least by default.

I actually turn off the sound from VM to host- it actually uses A LOT of CPU, and IMO it's not worth it ;)
