I'm just going to throw this out there…..

Make Reputation have a purpose….you can rep people on posts already, but I propose that negative rep results in fewer viewing rights on the forum, and positive rep results in more privileges, but not to the point people are instamemberised…….. but maybe dememberised :rolleyes:

Also, more discrete "reputation titles" (little green or red boxes next to avatar) can be made, just so you can get an idea of someone's credibility, that is not judged solely on their post count…..

Just hover over the "reputation Icons" for various people's names…I have -2 rep atm btw ;)

I think he means having a system where as people's rank should reflect their trustworthiness or at least their positive / negative actions that they have made in the past.

I've thought about having something like this in the past, but from what I've seen SRL is very, reputation independent, meaning it hasn't ever been used for anything.

I think that if we where to create this "rank system" we would have to develop some sort of permission list through the forums database that makes it so Registered Users and SRL Junior Member aren't allowed to give reputation. SRL Members can give -1 to +1 reputation. SSRL Members can give -2 to +2 reputation, and Devs / Mods can give -3 to +3 reputation.
