I tried to log into runescape and found out my pw was changed. Went got my acct back with rec questions. Someone of the ip adress 99.161.128.27 last logged in to my account, requested my pin be canceled, left my dragon gear alone and stole a rune wc axe. That IP address is in cleveland ohio, which is where i live so it might have been one of my friends, but none of them will admit to it. Way to fail at hacking me…. my poor lost 30k…..

Maybe it means that the guy didnt have a member account to transfer it to? Or that they didnt want to risk it.

I went to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ and it said the ip is in cleveland ohio about 20 min from my house so it might just be one of my friends who borrows my gear a lot. Anyone who doesn't believe me type in the ip adress, its real in there.


Edit: i think that members thing might be it. That was the only non members item i had on me, and it was the only thing that was taken. My character was also in a non members bank that he wasn't before. (As far as i remeber)

Risk his account getting in trouble probably. He took a rune axe and i really dont care. If he took my dragon gear i would tell fagex somthing about this and get him banned.(or be at his house atm.)


I changed my pw to something that isn't even in english so no more random guessing my pw. If they get in again i know im keylogged, but i don't think i am after a quick process check.

no,, it means that the there is no user with that ip on the srl forum ;)

That's why i think it's either one of my friends or some random non-member cracker. All my other accounts(macros) are left alone, and none of them have as much as a bank pin.

Most likely they couldnt transfer the items? For example they have no member acc? So only thing they could take was the rune axe.. Kinda stupid really.

Yeah, my bank was 100% in tact.

I got hacked like this aswell, the asshole logged in, took my dragon skirt sold it for 300k and left the cash and everything else and changed the pin and the pin was about to be active (2 days) and he changed it so i had to change back now its 4 days…

Well, now my account is locked while they investigate. I tried to unlock it once, they said my stuff doesn't match closely enough. i wait a few hours and it changed the pw and everything. i try to log in and it says my acct is still locked while they investigate because it might be stolen. I go back to see my recovery questions are gone. Anyone know what happens to membership on a frozen account?
