Member Leechers

http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/member.php?u=289 , http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/member.php?u=249 , http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/member.php?u=783 just to name a few. It kinda annoys me when I see an SRL member with a VERY low post count(less than 25), and 0 activity, asking leecher questions everywhere. Yeah, I know they got in automatically when SRL became public, but really, they should be moved back to Junior Members IMO until they become active and actually script.
Comments.

I agree!

this is actually kind of unfair they have access to all the scripts but know nothing of scar -,-

There needs to be a prune of SRL Members, there are some members who have been inactive for ages and come back and kinda have no clue how to script.

Move them back to Junior and then they can reapply if needs be,

And a prune of EVERYONE here more then 2 months with 20 post count ;) (IE: the spammers to get 10 post count to get Junior Scripts :p)

Yes, more eyes on the spammers to get Junior SRL would be helpfull also.

And, can i add, make it so you can only apply to SRL Member when you are Junior SRL? (unless it is, hard to tell when the titles dont update)

I agree at this point. Just because they've been here since the dawn of REAL cheating, I don't think they deserve these benefits, that the newer SRL-Members have worked hard for. And thinking about it, they should know how to script about 10 times as well as newer members, because they have been here for more than a year.

Hmm.. Scripting as a member is just kinda pointless, because there is so good scripts out there. Tarajunkys, Masterkills, WT-Fakawis, etc, but yea I can make script for you guys if you want to :P

I make scripts to make scripts, not to use them. Then I publish them to the users lower down in the hierarchy (I'm not sure how to spell that, or if this is even an english word), because they can't benefit from SRL-Members scripts, but they can from mine :D

if this is even an english word

Hehe, made my day…

I agree, but I suggest not to prune the ones that are active or however, because yeah there is people like Eicca.

Btw, I have a pic of Boreas' pruning whip:

That should give some motive to stay active :p

I'm glad my post made your day, lol :D Your countless "Tutorials" on something newcomers must NOT do have also made a few of my days, lol :D You are slaughtering newcomers and rulebreakers, haha :P

I like Boreas whip, though. Tough Stuff.

Heh. Hierarchy is an English word, and as a bonus, you spelled it right! (Three cheers!)

Anyway, if they are that inactive, lets get out the pruning knife (which is quite dull, IMO)

Yeah, I think we should prune SRL members with under 40-50 posts and are not active. I mean you are an SRL member you should have/be posting more than that. They most likely just got in for the scripts.

Hy: I would say Boreas can do 30 leechers per hit.

The idea of pruning has been gone over time and time again. The answer will not change and I agree with not pruning members. You guys are wrong on something here. You obviously came after SRL went public. While it was private, we had to apply to merely get into SRL. So don't say they know nothing. The application process was virtually the same. Except in this case you emailed Benland100 why you think you should be accepted into SRL and any work you've done and it was polled just like it is now. So people who got into SRL while it was private and were memberized when it went public deserve it, do not say they don't. Infact I am one of those who were automatically memberized when it went public.

Yes, but some of them might have forgotten how to script after so long.
and are inactive anyway right?

Hobbit

2007-11-11 16:08:38

I was inactive for a very long time with 27 posts, now look, I've been here just over a year steady. What would have happened if my account was pruned? I know I would have been like, w/e forget this.

Yeah but we love you, so you wouldn't have gotten pruned anyway :P

I have been inactive for more than a year.. I donno, i still think pruning inactive accounts is a good idea ^.^

I think one member should be randomly demoted every day (automatically if possible), thus keeping the members population on their toes.

The Prince of Randomness?

I love my 98% longetivity.
I think I deserve member status though

Contributing members should be kept. Any others should be put back to Junior. irrelevant of their join date.

We are not pruning any users…

From a similar topic awhile ago.

SRL members are all SRL members because the admins feel they deserve to be. It is not your decision to say otherwise.

IF any pruning were to happen, I don't think it should be an inactive sweep. But it is a member-gone-leecher, perhaps they would be the ones to prune. But there isn't much of a problem anyways. I don't notice anything wrong with this forum?? (been here all of 5 minutes ftw)

If thats the decision then close the thread. What is the point in discussing it if no1's views apply to it?.

Dang, I should :google: But IMO it should happen..
