Ok, Wt-fakawi Said "No to pay scripts" However, I disagree.
I think it would be great opportunity to sell Scripts on SRL-Forums.com
I think We should make it only to where trusted or "known" Members Can Sell there scripts.

You might ask why? i would want it here and not somewhere else?
Well, Unfortunally i dont have much a rep and maybe other people as well on other sites… Also this is a trusted site.


I think this is a great for some of us to make some money… I think about all those scripters out there that work extremly hard on what they do…


Many members are very trusted here. So Im not really exactly sure what the lost.. is…

Once again im asking for pay scripts.. NOT A BLACK market.. Where you buy and sell gold ect…

The reason why im polling this is WT-fakawi said we should :).

Selling scripts can lead to nothing but trouble, really.
They will always be cracked, obfuscated, or even SCAR encryption.
As far as I know solar has already retreived SCAR encrypted scripts.

If you script, I suggest you give it free for all, or sell scripts on Mopar.
No reputation? You are a SRL Developer…

Also, whatever comes out of this poll doesn't neseccairily have to happen.

I am not really against or in favor, I just wanted to state this.

Wizzup? he was saying he doesn't has a reputation at others site, so no-one would buy scripts from him there.

Also I think that maybe we shouldn't sell scripts individually but maybe if we (meaning SSRL Members) Wanted, we could create a script "Pack" That included some top notch scripts that are obfuscated and have SRL Stats on them.

Maybe not sell them for personal gain but as a way to make money for the forums. Maybe as a reward for donating 10 dollars to the forums you get this.

I know its not really selling scripts, but like Wizzup? said, it will most likely lead to corruption although I can't say for sure with this forum.

EDIT: If your thinking of having a special user group that is "Allowed" to sell scripts I discourage that as well, because if one person in that group scams someone that automatically discredits everyone in that group.

I don't see any harm in it. :)
But if it goes ahead we should have the same rules as mopar's, the script has to be approved by an admin (star?) before being allowed to post it.

if you are going to set this up, you would need to devise a VERY ORGANIZED SYSTEM. This corrupts so many communities. Of course it brings more people, but 50% of them are scammers.

I definitely say NO..we have enough of a problem with scammers already…this just leads to sooo many problems that this community doesn't need…if you need to be a script whore, then go to Mopar's..and let him deal with the drama ;)

If we let people sell scripts… People would start scripting for the wrong reasons. Nobody (well, less people) would care about helping the forum by making scripts, they would just do it to for the money.

Many people here start learning to script, and they learn to script to make them selves macros to make them money. Then, if all you are doing with the script is using it to make yourself money, people think, "why not let everyone else use the script to make money? SRL has done so much for me that I should give back." But if you can sell scripts…

IDK. Just my opinion, but I think there would be a lot less participation in these forums if we made scripts sell-able.

Less people helping the forum … I doubt it's that bad, when you have a payscript here and you want to sell it a lot then you want to be well known. So what do you do ? You have a (couple) free script(s) that shows your ability and you help others to show what your capable of and how helpfull you are. Even though it might be with the wrong reason it's still a reason.

Selling scripts don't bother me.
happens all the time with scripts of different coding.

I think you should be able to advertise your pay for script in your signature or something, but have the link direct the person to a site that allows you to sell scripts.

This way it keeps buying and selling scripts out of SRL forums, and allows people to sell scripts to people in SRL forums.

I think many are taking it a bit to drastically. i really dont see as much change happening… Im sure the tolerance will still be about the same..

I just dont see the point of people not going to mopar. Most people that are here. Also know abotu mopar. And also know about mopar selling scripts. Therefore more then likely you will just end up with the same scripts sellign here as there are there.

I say no, if they want to buy scripts, they can go to mopar.

I voted no, It may all be good and well in the beginning, but the most innocent and carefully thought out ideas will go wrong sometime. When have enough scamming here without script sales here as it is. I say enough because I think any scamming is too much. It will just bring more scammers and ruin SRL's reputation.

i voted no, pay scripts have to be closed source, otherwise people remove auths
no because open sourceness is the way to go, in SRL's case, it helps people learn a lot more.

dont believe this without evidence, i could go on all day about that guy, but just be careful of what you belive
to be fair to him, the last time i heard about that kind of thing was 5 months ago i think, so it could be hes changed
