FindEnt

It works! Unfortunately, it doesn't work quick enough. I keep getting damaged axes because the ent finding procedure doesn't detect it quick enough. I call findEnt every time right before I decide to click or not.

If you want to see how it is used, just click the link in my sig and look at my powercutter script.

Is there something we/I can do to fix the problem?

Call it more often?

I'll try to take a look at your script later; maybe a ttimer?

Isn't a TTimer in a form?

I suppose. I thought calling it before I clicked was enough, as if I never click when an ent is there I should never have that problem. Timer <b>may</b> be a possibility, but I want to have some speed to this script and anything not necessary is pretty much out. I'll try calling it more often, hopefully it won't lag down my computer anymore than it already does.

( actually it is not too bad… but still speed = pwnage )

I had a similar problem myself. What happens, is it finds a tree, and clicks it. When you're player starts cutting the tree, an ent appears. However while it was walking toward the tree, the mouse moved off the tree itself. So the script may find an ent, however this time it's not aware that it's cutting the tree.

Use object finding for it instead. Custom.

This has got me wondering whether I would be able to make some color stuff in C++ and build it up to object finding… Hmmm…

When I was using FindEnt it still clicked the tree if there was even an ent there! But now I made my own, which works much better and won't click if its an ent. I used similarcolors of the text saying what tree it is. When an ent appears it changes to yellow. However yea when the mouse moves after clicking the tree it is vulnerable, but this function is simple and works quick. Check it out in my script if you like, link in my sig.
