Help to start a script....

I haven't scripted for RS in a long time and I am wondering…

Does it matter if I have the minimap set north every couple seconds, because I don't know how else to do it.

And I don't want people to have to go ahead and set colors over and over. How would I make a script auto get colors safely and effectively.

And if the minimap isn't a specific way, is there any way to have it any way you want and still have the script walk to the right places and so on, because finding colors if the minimap is turned won't work.

1 : No, Just Use MakeCompass(Direction : String);

2 : For MiniMap symbols use GetSymbolColor. For roadcolor use bitmaps. For MainScreen colors use a findobj with a base color and a high tolerance.

3 : Just have it at north and it should be pretty reliable for walking.

1 : mmk.

2 : So if I use FindObj with a high tolerance all the time that should work?

3 : I am under the impression that thats detectable, and does the minimap rotate slightly?

2. Depends, I try alot of techniques.

DTM, Bitmap finding then, GetColor(x, y);
The FindObj with Tolerance
Just DTM's and Bitmaps

3. Don't be to repititive. Imagine what a human would do? It rotates to North the fast way, and sometimes it does a full circle then it goes to the direction. (More Rarely)
