Just saw it for the first time 15 minutes ago. One of my friends that was online but I wasn't talk to suddenly said:

"IS THIS REALLY YOU ??? i cant remember who sent it to me…"

Then tried to file transfer me IMG-####.zip (#= a number has been different each time)

Of course I declined. Then about 5 minutes later I recieved exactly 7 convos at the same time starting a file transfer of IMG-####.zip.

Now these are all people I know in real life. My friends and I know that they have the first person that sent it to me in their MSN's.

So what I am guessing is that it sends itself through the File transfer and then when the .zip file is extracted it inserts itself onto the computer, then opening convos with all online contacts and sending itself to them as a file tranfer repeating itself on each convo until it is either blocked or it is left pending. Rinse and repeat….

Helping some people out right now. Warning tons of people.

Sounds dangerous, I would be appreciate if I didn't get it ;)

Haha, this I believe is more of a worm. Hundreds of these have gone around in the past. Only idiots fall for it (no offense).

No offense taken. Most people are not as computer literate as you or I.

Just a heads up though because it could come from someone you know well and you may accept it.

Mine came from someone where I almost accepted due to I knew them so well and I didn't think they would be dumb enough to accept, but theirs was from their girlfriend so they accepted and it got spread through most people out of my small town.

Lol this was going around my contacts 2 months ago… they just don't die.
That's why:
1) IF you decide to download anything from your friends ask if they sent it.
2) if you've downloaded it, don't open it, always scan it online using ( virusscan.jotti.org ) (they use like 15 different types of professional anti-virus software to scan it for you :))

This also has seemed to come across me.
It was the first time i'd seen anything like it.
But I still didn't click it, too afraid.
I kinda knew about keyloggers, viruses, etc.
And I asked my friend about it. He told me not to click it. Haha

It was a zip, OFC I declined :D
He said 10 secs later when I said WDF is that?
He said he had a virus or something then he said he would reformat lol..

Someone should make one of these (for good intentions, only a worm and nothing else added) just to see how fast this can spread, I would be interested to see.

Also, you can download it and open the zip file and still be safe, just don't run the EXE inside. (It actually has an extension of com, but it's the same thing)

Or make one to create a botnet. Then when someone pisses SRL off, BAM! Dead.

loads of my contacts do that, or they say, are these piks good or is this realy you?
