And incase your school is not retarded meaning you cant disable the firewall… Not much you can do really.

Boot from DSL (damn small linux) :p

You can boot it from either a CD or a Pen drive.

Old tip: At your house, click start>>run. Type 'cmd'. type 'ping www.runescape.com'. It will say 'Pinging runescape.com [69.22.158.227]'. Now go to http://69.22.158.227 at your school ^_^.

Doesn't work for miniclip, either.

Works for google though; them jagexes are a bit tricky :p

Some sort of modified client that sends the data through your home pc to the jagex servers, maybe? :p Have fun making it, though.

my school's network uses sopho's anti-virus and novell and their server is at the downtown district offices…

so any ideas?

if the ip trick doesn't work, you might try using kproxy.com or a similar proxy server… if that's blocked then find out its ip and go to the proxy using the ip, and from there to runescape….

Remember that you need to be careful with some proxies because one of my Tech classmate uses his to get passwords to facebook accounts… Just a little warning ;)

I would just wait till you get home… Have more time and you don't have to look over your shoulder every few seconds :D

I couldnt get this working, some unique error appeared, couldnt see my usb drive in linux live cd or something weird like that. I think I should still keep trying, because it would be awesome to boot in friends place my own OS with just a usb memory :D

If your school hasn't already blocked it (mine blocked it after they noticed about 50 or so of my friends were doing this) go to google and look up Firefox. Download it and then install but do a custom install and switch the directory to your drive (if you have those). When Firefox starts up it will ask if you want to import preferences from Internet Explore. Click NO! Now it won't have any blocks.

Otherwise if there is any problem doing that you can go to your house, Download Firefox and install it onto a Flash Drive and then take that to school and run Firefox.exe. If you do it write then -Wablam- no more blocks.


EDIT: Holy cow. My Activity is all the way down to 39% :( It was at 69 :(. I haven't been on these forums for a long time =\

Can't run exe's, it is protected by Sophos if that helps.

hidemyass.com used to work at my skool but now the IT tecs blocked hidemyass.com now but bassicaly any webproxie shoud work

Proxies do not work for runescape(doesnt load java =/) Ok i made a long tut

and the sophos and novell is REALLY starting to get annoying…

Try go to:www.Myrune.com/world click on w 121 for members or w 32 for non members.

Not if the website starts with: https://www.example.com.

If its http://www.example.com then it will start searching.

here try this proxie it should work:https://webproxy.kaxy.com/index.php

If it doesnt work try typing the URL.
