I apologize…

Dear SRL,

Over the past few days, some stir has been aroused since the release of the SolarMiner script. This script uses the KYAB bot (from http://www.kyab.asssoft.org). There are a few people who have never particularly liked KYAB. No matter what anyone says, I know the real reason is because the bot was made by ME. In the start, it was a team effort between BenLand100 and I, but since the recent RS updates, a LOT had to be changed because many things have broken. All the coding has been changed and BenLand100 left the project (no he doesn't hate me, he has his own life to worry about). The only one maintaining the project now is ME.

The reason that certain people on this forum do not like me is unknown. I am sorry for creating the stir that I did. And no matter what anyone thinks my intention was, let me strongly say that my purpose of scripting, writing countless tutorials and countless lines of code is to teach and learn. Learn and let learn. Dear SRL members, I ask you, why has "Master solarwind" created ImpWiki? Why has "that guy with a fat ego" written countless tutorials? Why has "this stupid dipshit" released all his work freely with all source code attached and licensed under the GNU GPL? Well, let me tell you all. It is because I want to learn and let learn. Many of you do not understand that it takes countless hours of MY free time and the free time of OTHERS who have helped contribute to bring you things like ImpWiki and KYAB. It hurts when someone moves a script that I and many other members from SRL and KYAB have worked on to the bbq pit. I could not believe this. Where does this hidden hate come from? What have I done to cause it? Whatever the answer may be, if I am truly at fault, I am genuinely sorry. These efforts come from my and others free time and we only want to help and contribute. I'm a 16 year old kid in high school with high marks and large ambitions. The last thing I want to do is fuck around and flame on an online discussion forum. It gets me nowhere in life. The reason I visit and contribute is because I love to teach and learn. I script in my free time, write Java code to constantly maintain and improve KYAB in my spare time and so on. Does this work really deserve such flaming?

I agree that I have been kind of an ass in the past by making rude posts, flaming and what not. Totally my fault. Some of such posts were directed at people like WT-Fakawi, RAM_RUNE, BenLand and others. I am very sorry for such rude and ignorant posts. You guys are great and KYAB would not be where it is today without you guys. However, the buried frustration emerges from many months of constant torture from certain people such as StarBlaster100 and Wizzup. I mean no harm to these people at all. Even if I have been rude to them in the past, it was from retaliation out of frustration. I have cracked many versions of StarBlaster100's stress miner several times and threatened him that I was going to release it because I was frustrated at him (we were fighting for some reason). However, no matter how angry or frustrated I was, I did not release it because I knew they are good people at heart and have worked hard on their accomplishments. I know how it feels to have your work destroyed. That is why I did not release his miner. Now I ask him, does he know how I and other people feel when he so swiftly presses the delete topic or move topic button on a script release or a discussion on KYAB? I guess not. But no matter what, I am genuinely sorry for any trouble I have caused to anyone here.

Also, many people think that my intention on releasing KYAB scripts here is to bring traffic to KYAB. This is simply not the case. I only post scripts and such to teach people, learn and get feedback on how to improve. KYAB is a bot that depends on SRL. No SRL = no KYAB. What people don't realize is that I love SRL, it's a great project and great community. I am simply not out to steal your members or whatever it may be. I just want to help and learn and contribute. However, it is obvious that this has caused some problems. So, again, I am genuinely sorry.

Solar, it's good to see that you do care about the community. I hope we can all just bury the hatchet(RAM ;)).

Apology accepted. We don't 'hate' you, we just didn't like the way you used to act, flaming anyone who talked about iBot and that sort of thing. You seem to have matured alot though.

Actually, I don't have a terrible temper. I just don't like people spreading incorrect lies about and other people believing it. It just creates a noob chain.

No offense anyone, but the SRL "paragraph thingie" on the frontpage is starting slowly to differ from the real.

They are well above petty include wars, and they are all in one way or another committed to the project.

Even that was originally about devs, this is not about devs, whole community, whole "SRL Thought".

Even if solar posted a KYAB script, EVEN IF he knew that it starts a flame war, EVEN IF he knew he should not, why not just leave it in all peace?

If there comes ONE, ONE KYAB script and it wont be closed/ humiliated,
do you think that your forums will flood of KYAB scripts that would rape pure SRL Scripts down the scripts section?

And so what if solar would come to post a script here, knowing he starts a flame war, knowing its wrong, knowing all the shit about posting the KYAB script, BUT, here comes the thing my friends, what if he came to learn?

What if he didnt come here as the usual solarwind, what if he came with his script which about only KYAB thing is the walking, and waiting till not mining etc, what if he simply wanted comments and improvements on his script?

So simple.

Shouldn't SRL offer the ideal SCAR/SRL scripting environment for anyone?

well, actually i was defending solar yesterday(in a conv with starblaster) but this kinda changed things, if he wants to remove it from his site then it's ok for me, but he did insult starblaster there.

Would you like me to flame your next thread where you post a script and then call you immature/bad tempered. If you're talking about what happened ages ago then yes it did show the characteristics mentioned but they've been held against him far too long.. IMO anyways
