This is a respectfull community. We have made it to 33k because of respect! I have had numereous chances of destroying people, yet I have only once shown my teeth. You just dont do that. Especially with respected admins of other communities. Thats even worse.

I tryed to set a trend :D. Anyways, Fawki, I have some stuff you might wanna know about him. It's not huge but I have been talking to him alot lately and I know some stuff. And I know that there is someone who is with him reading this right now and will probably tell him, but its not anything bad. I like solar. I encouraged Solar today, to use Fakawi s code, as he states it is free for everyone to use, as long as you credit….. I think thats how everyones should be…but I see that isnt the case…

I also suggested to him, that he add alternate walking using SRL methods…..

I was just having a discussion with BOB the other day, that …What if…one day…everyone just buried the hatchet…and not in each others skulls….Imagine the great things that could be accomplished….

Im playing Devils advocate, I know….Solar sets the traps, and everyone falls for them….but at the same time…there is a part of me…that sees the true potential he has as well….

agreed about burying the hatchet. Solar and I are fairly good friends. I think I will try to see what I can do to help him with this community. (And I think everyone else here should, as this is the point of this thread?)

Fawki in all due respect, I'm with the admins/mods with this one. They went over the top and I can see that, but you can hardly blame them. Solar has been let run wild on this forum, and as a result he has no respect for it, or us. Honestly that thread should have been binned from the start, it has no relevance at all to SRL and it was obvious he was trying to draw attention to his forums, which are only in the state they are because of his previous actions here. But as long as solar is here, he will be a nuisance - there is no option of a peaceful resolution. The stuff he says about wizzup and star here, and over at kyab sickens me - if this was any other forum, this disrespect would have him banned straight away which is what should happen imo.

Lol I hate solar so much. I just avoid him though. He is a bitch and started everything there, and really if he hates this "pathetic community" why does he insist on coming back? All he is doing is trying to get noticed. His immaturity is worse than my own (thats going back to a mental state of a seven year old). He says we are targeting him but it doesn't stop there he targets us as well.

this is his blunt way of raising a fire. Dont you recognize his game? Dont you see through this obvious provocation?

In the end fawk your right if we were to leave him alone ,and let him throw his baby fits, he wouldn't be a bother. It's just that people feel that if we stop attacking him now he will feel the pleasure of winning…. so what.

Just leave him alone let him play his "game". People go after him as if what he says actually matters, but in the end he is only one person. IMO he is doing us a favor with KYAB. He is getting all the "newbs" to move over to his forums right? Aren't we trying to rid SRL of the "newbs"? Remember he is practically powerless against you as long as you remain calm.

I wasn't in that thread, but I do agree with WT-F, he DOES like to wind people up, he doesn't flame, but causes people to do so. Can you all just ignore him? (I've locked a thread over at mitb.com partly because of him.)

Also, while we're talking about KYAB, this is just my opinion but, I reckon ANY KYAB, or any other include/addon that can't be found here at SRL should be removed, it's nice to see people helping RS Cheating, but this forum is for SRL, and blatant advertising shouldn't be allowed.

Sorry about what I said before, solar; it was both immature and quite thoughtless. You've put together a very nice script.

I made some small edits; couldn't test them, though. I'm unsure of how well the status change will work, too. Among other things, I made all 'Status' calls forward to KYAB_Log. It might be a bit of an annoyance, so it will probably end up being removed.

The Claw: Yes I can blame them, cause they are the Moderators and Administrators. They set out directions and guidelines, they are rolemodel, they set examples. In the long run, this will directly lead to loss on all sides. You need to repair this.

Ok, well I think all we have to do is

1) Encourage Solar to be more involved in SRL. He will come if people are nice to him.

2) set the example. Most people in SSRL are highly respected, especially the mods and admins. I think, if you have these powers, you should do something to his favor. Maybe not make a thread, but at least be on his side.

I have a whole conversation with him. He told me you apologized. He is wondering why every is apologizing to him ;). He has good things to say about the community. He dislikes two people, Fawki not included in these. You can probably guess them. He says he did not post his miner to lure people to KYAB, he posted it there for feedback. He knows he will be flamed everytime he posts regardless of what his post says. Posting with the words "KYAB" in it only make it worse. The only reason I think KYAB should stay of the SRL Forums is because whenever someone mentions it everything that had been pointed out on that thread is completely ignored and the thread ends up being locked because of the flame fest it turns into. I don't know why everyone hates Solarwind because I havn't been here long enough, but once it becomes public that someone 'of higher status' has beef another member that member is completely shunned. As far as I'm concerned Solarwind is up shits creek and the only way he can get back is if someone 'of higher status' goes and makes a sticky/anouncement saying stop being a douche to Solarwind. Now it is just a flame war where you either pick SRL, KYAB, or leave completely. The leaders are the SRL developers and Solarwind, whether they realize or not.

On the other hand, I gave him feedback. I said "This is what you did wrong" and "This is what could be made better". As far as I can tell he can write in Java at least decently, but he is not amazing in Scar. He's just as good as any SRL member and he doesn't deserve special treatment.

Hopefully next time it does not take fawk freaking out in order for us to be respectful :)

I agree with most but i don't think you know solar as well as I do. He has alot of potential, I'm not focusing on SCAR scripting when I say this. Just saying, he has a bunch of potential.

Sure, he borrowed code. But its all free and OS code, he did a little crediting, maybe not enough but thats no excuse for the rant mods went on. To be honest I think it's all one big mess, and I'm not just talking about this fiasco. I say bury the hatchet, deep. Its become a bit of a feud really…

Solar can be a bit hard to get along with at times but I get the feeling that he just wants to prove himself and / or show off.

A Forum Troll you mean? I think it can be done. A Forum Troll posts and posts (usually stuff to annoy others…) , but nobody sees the Troll's posts or threads. So, in effect, he is totally ignored. Allthough I think this can only be done with utter fools like ronny (and maybe even xerxes), it can be done. I will consult Dankness about that.

Well said Sum, and as in my first post in this thread I had said that, although not in the first person sense as you did. I personally think that everyone needs to just remove the past from the present, or as in the book "1984" try and practice some doublethink.
