THIS TUTORIAL WILL NOT TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE A DTM!
Before reading this tutorial, I strongly advice to read a tutorial about
making DTM's. I learned DTM's from YoHoJo's tutorial, but it's your
choice what you use.
This brief tutorial took me about 20 mininutes to make, so don't complain about it not being perfect.
-Intro-
Many people believe that DTM's are to be used in the inventory alone.
That is actually wrong.
To prove this, I have brought examples from my Draynor-Netter and
Fishing Guild Fisher with me here.
-Using DTM's in the minimap-
(Here, I will refer to material from my Draynor-Netter - Link in sig)
As everybody knows, DTM's are made by choosing static points (Non-moving
points)
Static points also exist on the minimap. Take a look at this:
and this:

Notice the formation of the NPC-dots (Bankers), and the trees?
You could go in any world, and find them in that exact formation, just
rotated according to your MiniMap-angle and MiniMap-angle-randomness.
Also, no players can walk in over the minimap signs of either the
bankers or the trees.
Luckily, there is a function to find rotated DTM's!
All you would need to do is set a subpoint on each of the bankers (or
trees), with a color randomness of 10-20, and then find it with a
rotated angle of -30 to 30 (ALWAYS: Anglestep 0.01 for best results)
-Using DTM's on the RS-Main-Screen-
This is what is normally considered impossible - WRONG!
(Here I will refer to my Fishing Guild Lobster Fisher - Link in sig)
Take a look at this picture of a bank-booth (From the Fishing Guild, but
could be virtually anyone).
This is where it gets hard.
What I chose to make a DTM of here, was the stony part of the bankbooth,
and some of the surrounding wood-like parts. Then I used FindDTMRotated
(again), with the usual -30 to 30 degree search, and it has always found
it.

Thanks for reading my brief tutorial on enhancing your use of DTM's.
if there was anything I didn't make clear, or something you want to know, just post it here.
