I know… This might seem like an obvious question… but you know… Essence takes less time than Iron, but Iron pays off more…

What do you guys think I should do, or what everyone who's asking this same question

Some say that the infinite runes update will drive the cost of ess down…

@boreas, other poeple think that it will rise :p.

iron sells faster then ess. because there allready a lot of ess bots.

i vote iron. I'm stuck with like 5k ess that nobody on earth will buy.

Iron plus it will level you faster ( I think) And coal is by far the best once you get mining guild. Well so i think anyways.

I would go with iron, then consider coal!!

Iron, but I dunno about ess prices. Water runes at the Port Sarim rune shop went from 5 ea at full stock to 17 ea at infinite stock…

I would personally do iron. I used to run wizzup?'s ess miner all the time, but it only raked in about 300k per 5 days (only used 2 characters)… im currently using masterkill's varrock east iron miner and have already gotten about 700k+ in like 5 days with two characters that one went from 42 or 43 mining to aroung 57 mining.

I'm confused with the ess price, will it rise or will it drop. I've got some excitement on this because I have about 30k of ess on my hands :D

But I think I'll start mining them both to avoid ban with script changing. :)

I think that I am going to do iron :) iron and coal will never go out of style ;)

i'm not sure if its applicable these days… BUT back in the last mining boom (guildraper) prices were down below 150 and some people were even selling at 100 ea. (very stupid? i know) and from experience iron is a much better ore to mine for profit - on the basis that you are selling it raw.. that is, unless coal is sold at 180-200. in my opinion, coal is a good time/profit resource until the guildminers bring it down to 160

I would have to go with essence on this one. Because wizzups ess miner is an amazing script, and even if the price drops, you can still get essence faster than iron. Plus, varrok essence mine is closer to the bank than any iron mine is.

Iron, gives 7 times more xp, and is more profitable then rune ess. (for members pure ess owns iron)

My guys go for iron, much more prefered than essence. Works their lvls up to coal faster too. Though i think ill keep them as iron miners anyways. Get iron faster than coal for quite a few levels.

f2p, iron owns untill ur like 65+ minin and mine coal, or if ur a member then mine pure ess and sell to nat crafters! that would just own almost everything, 'cept Chuck Norris

IRON PWNZ! Mostly because I got so tired of my 10k ess in my bank that I just gave it away…lmao. But iron on the other hand…

iron is super expensive now…. is the only source of it because of summonining? or did the update hit a lot of the mining autoers, which in turn make it even more expensive?

I would say pure essence (p2p).
Is that a choice? It's worth a lot more than plain old essence, and the speed is still there!

pure essence is way faster u get about 800 per hour at 87 mining and 125 gp each in GE, is good money i get like 400 iron ores an hour so go figure. 100k vs 40k you decide.

The title says (gp) in parenthesis. So if you want exp, go for iron, gp go for pure essence.
