Well, I got one of my macro accounts banned, I wrote a nice appeal, and also told them they had no evidence, thats what the Jagex Ban Center told me : No evidence for this offence.

Dear Jagex,

I,have been banned for breaking rule 7, which I did not. I am very confused, I logged in to see whats up, I get the option : See evidence, and the RS site tells me there is no evidence at all!

Pardon me? I have always played runescape legit, and had much fun in playing this really fantastic game, I hope you will correct this fault soon. I want to play again.

Well, A few days later, I received the following message :

We have conclusive evidence that you were in control of the account at the time of the offence and for this reason this offence will remain on your account.

Well, Perm ban, no big deal, but I felt of my chair when I read this line :

that you were in control of the account at the time of the offence

So, They banned me for macro'ing, then tell me they got evidence that I was in control of the account when the offence took place.(Macro'ing)

Haha, Jagex get's more dumb every day…..

Lol, happened to me too! I got the same exact message. My reaction was just confusion though. :p

Well actually if you have static ip, that means u had that ip when u were macroing and when u sent them appeal, try letting your friend do it =o, like saying he got hacked bla bla :)

Its the new system in place. They got a new system that gives more evidence for bans. More to come later. It will be posted about it soon under strategies.

When i got banned they didn't display the evidence either (Using the "View Evidence" link..) 0.o

Edit: I just checked my Appeal thingi to check the reason why myne failed, I got the same one, rofl.

I have sent in an appeal also but haven't heard back yet… its quite a tricky appeal so you know… I have hope. :rolleyes:

I guesss the new evidence system is just about language abuse etc.

Na new evidence system has to do with multi logging team scams and alot more. They just have a whole new banning system in place really.

But thats quite normal, abusive nick. that is already a reason, I mean, you do know ur own name don't you? :p

By "We have conclusive evidence that you were in control of the account at the time of the offence and for this reason this offence will remain on your account." They mean that you were not "hacked" and that you had full control over the account at the time of the banning, therefore you can not claim the actions were preformed by another person.

They cross checked the ip's used(along with other techniques) and concluded that it was really you that was doing the macroing and not somebody that had obtained your username and password through malicious software….etc.

I think one way to get around them knowing it was you who was autoing would be, Make the account with your main Ip, Get a few lvls here and there, Then log out, Get on a proxy, Change the password and start autoing. And then when your done autoing try to get on the account claim 'I downloaded a guide to make money in rs and when I tryed to get on my account :( ' It should work GLORIOUSLY. :cool: You can also repeat this as many times as you need to get whatever lvl you want up :)

haha im not zezima, i changed the name

i have 4 accounts in the lvl 90's banned and none of them say y they banned me.. it says ther is no evidence, all it says in the msg centre is, it got banned for breaking rule 7! my freinds account got banned a year ago and then he sent in so much appeals and they didnt unban him but he sent one appeal to them 3 weeks ago and he got unbanned! so ima try to wait like 5 or 6 months then try an appeal again :D that is if i still play rs in 5 or 6 months :\ has that happend to any of u?

when they say in contoll of the account i think they mean it was "your responsiblity". Like it was YOU who turned the marco on so u were in controll of what was happening. even though scar was in contoll:D :confused: :p

Seems like they use some sort of automated response. I once told them in a bank appeal that i had macroed and i would never do it again. Their response was that they really had evidence that i had macroed and that i shouldnt try to deny it.

yesh jagex is prety gay and uses a lto of auto responses.

jagexes auto response might have been messed up.

Since you're talking about bans… One of my friends has been permanently banned twice! That's right TWICE. One was for using a simple mouse recorder. (Kept clicking the same pixels) and the other for scamming a whip. Both times he sent an appeal and was accepted. I have no idea what he sent but it worked. Maybe Jagex didnt take it too seriously.

By the way, as far as I know, legit players don't refer to themselves as legit, only we use that word, so you might want to refrain from using it in appeals.

I got Perm banned for macro'ing on my main 3 times rofl…. the third time they didnt accept..
Basicaly i changed my password often and i used multiple comps ROFL :P

That message is for all rule breakers, if u scam and got baned, jagex will show the evidence, but for rule 7, they will never show the evidence, and hope they can catch us again, lol.
So, just dont borther to appeal, and make 10 more accts.

nah sometimes appealing does help.. I mean what if its a really good acount..

Jagex could sometimes bother to read the appeals better ;) Seems that they werent even going to get u unbanned no matter what u would have said in ur appeal.

if you have dynamic, you could also just reset your modem/router :p but I hate that jagex's messages are always an automatic response, I doubt they've even read your message wizzup, cause a lot of people get banned for macroing (Of course, not with scripts like yours though :p) so they don't have time I guess.. but they should still take it into consideration :p

I "heard" a rumor that the keyword "suicide" mentioned in an appeal gets forwarded from the automated system to "live personel", to be determined…. RAM

I do not think that they cross check IP's because i banned my friends account because he was being stupid. He sent in an appeal saying that he was hacked and it came back saying that. if they checked the IP's it would be different because i banned him on my computer.

I think that now, they allow you to appolagise for your offence. Yeah that will work. I am SORRY that I broke the rule. Translation. Just give me my account back, I know what I did, you know, let me play.

The first 2 are for Rule #1, I think they just Didn't like the names, 1 Questionable, But "OH BOOTS", is there some hidden underlying meaninging I don't know about…I started naming accounts after our pets…So, As I see I was Screwed right out the gate, i just took the opertunity to have a lil fun with them….The othjers, I tried being sincere, waste of time…I had recieved 2- 1 week bans on 1 account, but Did not appeal it until the 3rd time…

Jagex is just a numb nut nowadays, appealing rule 7 always gets an automated response lately :S

lucky, i got a perm ban on my best woodcut noob. I had 20 addy axes on there and 72 wc with loads of oaks.

It's an old thread, but has been bumped repeatedly, so why not….


My main account ( I was a non-scripter at the time ) was banned for using poor macros, I threatened suicide and I got alot of human responses.
I may have gotten banned because I threatened their servers though :!
I'm going to try and appeal the account though, I worked so hard on it..
