SRL Archive - Who Are You ? Who ? Who ?

Um..

I came here some months ago, maybe 2 I think it was, and I was going to try and learn to write scripts, more-so than use them, but school kinda took over, so that didn't happen. Here I am at the next holiday break, studying for my year 10 exams, also trying to increase my knowledge of SCAR and SRL. A long feat I know but, yeah. Who cares, gotta start somewhere.

I'm Aussie, and I pride myself on being Aussie. I'm 16 years old, I ride a motorbike. I spend my holidays and most school days at the beach, I wagg school ALOT. Mainly because its so damn annoying, and seems like a waste of time. I have dreadlocks, yeah I'm awesome, tell me about it! . I'm good at computers, but I plan to pursue a career in the zoo in the future, I already have my foot in as a junior volunteer zoo-keeper, and because I did my work experience there.. Thats about it..

So yeah, help me out if you can, because I do need it. Read my thread in FAQ, I'm so confused over that. I need alot of help there.

hey bro :D ill help ya, im gonna start doin some scripts too… what u have to do is not read too many tutuorials if you dont understand them… only read the tutorials once u have seen alot of scripts.. look through for example: sumilions iron miner and ask yourself "hhmmmm, line 450 - 462, whats the procedure do?" and once u start seeing actions upon reading lines in a script. thats when u should get right into the tutorials and learn new styles of scripting and uses of functions/variable etc.

At the moment I've just been flicking through scripts and looking at the procedures and learning the SRL functions and how to encorporate it into the script properly. :P

Just I can't download the latest scar, I'm using 3.06 and when I try to download 3.12 it doesn't work. I won't give you the whole crackdown on it just go to this http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18502. Probably something noob, or something so simple, but I dunno. :P

uninstall scar version you got
go here and click on the big green button: http://www.freddy1990.com/scar.php
install it
open the program, click file download includes
then go file, download SRL

Welcome to the SRL Forums!

I hope you get better and understand the principles of SCAR & SRL! Read some tutorials about it, and start small (such as writeln statements : writln('Hello World!') ).
