Do the dev's plan to add SmartColors to SRL? If they don't know should we make a poll? I have made some smartcolors functions and the idea of smartcolors is much more useful than I thought it would be. it is also relatively easy to understand and would probably revolutionize Scar colorfinding. If we need a poll, please add it.

Why don't you just FindColorsTolerance once, save those colors and your are done..

If you mean put in SRL it's fine with me(misc), but integrate, no.

What about colors that do not work? They need to be deleted. And colors that work more often should be looked more often. its not just finding these colors, its "filtering" them. And i didnt even say it should be, but of course if it were, it would be in misc. Its not my idea so i really shouldn't be talking about what it does but I think it is useful.

Nah I don't think SmartColors has anything to do in SRL :)
it's one way of doing things.. and people shouldn't feel forced to use that method..

I know it filters them, but there are many other (better ways) IMO to solve this.. You can just get them once.

FindColorsTolerance, and mmouse for all points check IsUpText and your done, faster, less time taking, easier.

One errant mouse movement takes more time than all the color searches put together. There are also often clusters of color that make the mouse go crazy moving one pixel at a time in a very small area. Especially if someone shows up wearing clothes that are similar to the color you want. That's very slow and annoying.

The chances of someone's clothes having the exact color you actually need are much lower. And even if they do, that means checking maybe 1 or 2 incorrect points rather than 100.

If you don't mind having your mouse go crazy, or have your script efficiency ruined because someone wearing the wrong kind of hat decided to come play in your autoing area, it's not a huge deal. But I think a filtering strategy is more efficient over the long term. Nobody has ever really tested it, though, so it's all speculation at this point.

Well usually people use some kind of object recognition instead of just searching for one single color.. And I believe that a object recognition is faster than 10 FindColors.. and better because it would often return the middle..

I'm amazed by some of the object recognition people are doing. It's beyond my capabilities, surely. But I would say that 90% of the time with this approach you are doing *1* color search. Maybe 2. Very, very rarely would you have to do 10 color searches to find something that's actually on the screen. More likely, the object isn't there, and it doesn't really matter how long it takes to search in that case since you have to wait for it to respawn anyway.

If people can find an entire object faster than doing a single color search, then this method is obsolete, but I'll believe it when I see it.
