Jatex has not long now announced its new shop interface which now consists of two tabs 'Main Stock' and 'Player Stock'.

The difference?

'Main Stock' holds an infinite number of items to buy but costs generally more than the 'Player Stock', and the 'Player Stock' has all of the items that have been sold to the shop by other players, the supply's are limited but slightly cheaper.

My favorite quote from Jatex in this announcement is:

These changes will mean that autoshoppers and bots can no longer make a profit from abusing the shop system.

Like this is going to stop us :f:

If anything, adding an 'INFINITE' supply will help autoers!

What are your thoughts?

yeah, then we can keep buying its more expensive but if you got flawless banking and walking etc then it can run very long ;)

Is there a % amount that the items cost more?

In the 'Main Stock' the prices list:
Deaths: 310gp
Chaos: 140gp
Minds: 17gp
Earths: 17gp
Airs: 17gp
Winds: 17gp
Fires: 17gp
Bodys: 16gp

In the 'Player Stock' prices vary depending on how much stock they have of a particular item

***! body's 16 gp! normally they were 1 gp! deaths normally 224 max

This is gonna kill the runes forum. Arrows too i just bought 25k irons for 625k (25ea) and now they sell for 20 ea infine stock :(. Who is actualy gonna sell death or chaos runes to player stock or arrows to arrow stock ect ? No one.

Thinking about it i figured that runes sold in the rune section will probably now be ones ganed from skills e.g. runecraft and theiving from blood chest ect.

P.S. Anyone found any interesting/useful shops with infinate stock e.g I was looking at gem store in fally and ore store in dwarfen mines but neither had inf stock ore/gems

Heres two I found: Fishing shop at port sarim sells inf feathers 6p per and ardougne general store sells inf water finnel vials for 10gp EACH

they will destory the market there so stupid :S

How I made money, trained RC, crafting, and mage. What I trained a lot for, and did a bunch of quests for.

They called the update "Shop Improvement" I think many people will disagree but i doubt they'll change it back :(

Could someone check the archery guild stores and tell me weither they sell inf arrowheads and arrowshafts cause if they do that + inf feathers in port sarim fishing shop = easy fletch xp

I guess this isn't that bad.
Everything is getting worth more, so we can't use the shop anymore for autoing.
The good thing is, they made skills worth it to train, so we have to focuss us on the skills in rs and make money from that =]

i think this will make deaths etc. more expensive, because a large amount of deaths were created by autoshopping. Now that's gone there less stock thus a rise in price xD

So this means that a lot of the "mercanthing" (How do you spell it :D ) is going to suffer from this cause all the rich ppl simply go to the infintite

acually it wont help autoers. now no one is gunna buy off the forums anymore just go to the shop. anything that you could buy in the shops market is killed

It goes both ways though. Now street prices will be cheaper (in some ways) But there will be less sellers and buyers. Feathers for example have dropped 1 - 2 gp each. Doesnt sound like much. But when your talking about selling in blocks of 100k You are losing 100k.

6 exactly on forums. A few days ago they were 7 -8 each.

Of course this is bad for bots. There's no need to buy so many items from other players since you can from the shops now, unless the sellers are willing to go cheaper than shop prices, which means, no point in auto-buying from bots. I think this is both good, and bad, because the whole "buy x" thing has ruined the way many people legitimately make money as well, but not too bad since there are many others. Oh well. I hate auto-shop buyers anyways, bah. At least use a mining script or something ;D.
