I'm not sure which section of the forum to stick this in.. my apologies if it's in the wrong spot.

Can anyone enlighten me on key events and the exact timeline of rs cheating? I've heard of autorune, sleepwalker, and the infamous Chinese bot. Just what are they, who are their creators, and why have they all disappeared.. all but SCAR and the very elusive Chinese bot? And just what is sleepwalking, and how does it relate to cheating? And what on Earth happened to Kaitnieks?

What went on during the 2001-2006 era seems to be very fuzzy for most of us noobs who joined this year. Please enlighten us upon thy vast expanse of knowledge, O Wise Ones :)

Jagex threatened to sue, and he had a baby on the way. His personal life took priority. It's Kaitnieks, btw. The forums are gone, but there are still a few things on the site if you look for them.

wow… they seriously tried to sue him? I mean how does it effect them… it makes it less fun for some of the players but it doesnt hurt the staff! Sorry for bad grammer.

They said they were sueing him becuase of the private servers being hosted which were infringing on copyright laws

Download black book of cheating, it contains the most info about the past of the cheating scene. You can get it at fagex i think, or sythe, or maybe even here just search ^^.

I remember reading that black book of cheating. It is a good read. I thought sythe got taken down a while back, when i tried to find it none of the pages loaded. I must be wrong.

i can't believe SCAR is still around. i thought it was great in RS1 with sleepwalker. which was where you would enter the sleeping words for other people and they would for you. but i thought it would be too complicated with RS2's random events and would just be given up.

It didn't. That's just Ruler's erroneous claim to entice more people into buying his product.

Nexus is nowhere near Aryan. Aryan could run 50+ bots at once on a good computer. Nexus can do…8? Nexus doesn't even work the same way Aryan did. They're completely different.

Smart what the hell kinda computer do you have? i used aryan and could run a max of 10ish on my computer and after a day that would hurt my ram…

I remember all the way to Kaitnieks… I use to look up to StarBlaster his scripts rocked.

Also, what happened with the "autorune update" scam right after Kaitnieks was shut down? He linked to a guy promising to come out with a new version of autorune, and it ended up being a scam (I think). I think his name was…chris?
