Hello guys and gals,

Don't remember if I had posted this here .. I had posted it on Sythe awhile ago before I found the SRL forums and deleted my link to Sythe - decided to share it here as well :)

Always see a lot of people looking for ways to log in to Runescape whether it's from school, or in my case from work .. issues range from exclusion programs to firewall settings. After about 3 years of trying to find my way around a pretty tough firewall at my work, a friend told me about logmein.com.

Basically, you go to www.logmein.com on the computer you play Runescape on the most .. for me, it's my laptop at home. Create a free account associated with that particular computer. Before you leave for work or school, enable logmein and make sure your computer won't shut itself down, or disconnect from the internet. When you get to work or school, go to www.logmein.com and log into your computer at home - load up SCAR, load up your Runescape client, and auto away. It minimizes as its own window .. so, as I sit here at work I just open it up every so often to make sure I am still alive, or not in a random.

The only downside is that since you are operating remotely things don't respond as quickly for you. Best example I can give is the Molly random .. pmg it's a bitch when I get than random and am remoting because there is a slight "delay" with my actions.

But .. I gain about 10 extra hours a day of "supervised" autoing on my noob .. :stirthepot:

So its remote desktop through a webpage?

meh this isn't a good idea

although i like the interface of log me in i don't suggest using it for playing runescape.

2. you need active x and java scritp enabled

i suggest using teamviewer

(google it)

its really is simple to use and no installations required


edit ill make a tut about logmein and teamviewer if anyone wants one =/?

hugo … are you saying that teamviewer doesn't lag?? Cuz if it doesn't .. I will be installing that tonight to give it a whirl tomorrow at work. Logmein isn't THAT bad tho as I said .. it's a pain in the patoot for some of the randoms .. thought I was going to scream during a maze and pinball today :p

no

for the viewer it will lag less

but for the controller it will lag a bit less but thats if u put the quality to really low

all virtual controlling desktops lag =/

Well .. I will try it out tomorrow and let you know which lags more for me :)

Is it secure? does it offer any type of encryption? cuz it can be dangerous if somebody can tap into your comp..
