I've now been on here long enough to access junior member features, and when I logged in this morning, I saw that I now have junior member permission status. But when I checked my profile, I saw that it still says I'm a "registered user - chicken". I would have thought that my user status and permission would have updated at the same time. I don't care, but I'm curious as to why it happened, and if it's supposed to happen. Anybody?

Sometimes they don't update together.
Like there was a dev with a yellow name(<< not sure if fixed)
And a mod with a yellow name (<<Fixed now)
But it all gets straightened out in time..

But they usually do update together, right? I'm sure it'll fix itself (weird how some errors fix themselves - never scar coding bugs, though:rolleyes: ).

well look at me. i was a junior srl member at one stage.. but it changed.. it doesnt really matter. the forums are just slightly screwed up

A lot of forums have either dissapeared or have been merged. I wont go into full detail on that, you will need to find your own way through the forums. We think we have created a better subdivision.
We will also now be very strict on spammers. The SRL community is looking for contributors, not leechers. If you spam, your post count may be reset, or even worse, you may be Banned

i dont know weather what he said means fixing the groups also.. but i think hes just trying to organise things all round

He means they created some new sections, deleted some old ones, and moved some around. Also that we are cracking down on people who are just here to leech and limiting what they will get w/o contributing. Also spam is getting to be an issue. Many many off topic posts, we are becoming stricker about that.

Yes, obviously it will all get sorted out eventually. Don't forget there are almost 30,000 people registered here. probably 27-28,000 who are supposed to be junior members. Not to mention all the administractive and server stuff the admins have to keep up with. It will all be worked out in time. And maybe say like it's been 2 months. Then maybe say something, but do it in a respectful manner. If you are respectful you will be shown respect.
