ok, I've just been going through all the original SCAR functions…

I'm just wondering about the following.

procedure KeyUp(Key: Byte); - simulates releasing a key.

can someone explain how 'bytes' are input…?

for example… how would I release the character 'a' (or put it down for that matter)?

if someone could show a brief example of useage, that would be great.

I don't know about letters but with functions keys and stuff it works like so:

KeyUp(VK_Shift);
KeyUp(VK_Escape);

Type a full stop in scar and wait for the list of features, then type VK. These are all the things that can go into Key Up and Key Down.

Edit; Found it:

var b: Byte;
begin
b:= GetKeyCode('a');
KeyUp(b);
end.

begin
KeyUp(GetKeyCode('a'));
end.
