ok so here is my problem, ever since i re-installed windows 10, simba wont work anymore. I'm using the official runescape NXT client.

-i re-installed simba, followed the install and setup (update plugins,extensions,etc)
- i DO drag the crosshar over the client
-re downloaded the runescape client
-Script compile and execute fine (but do nothing)

It feels like simba cant see whats on the client?
i've tried different stuff:

-Actionbar.__find(); cant find the bar
-i made very simple bitmaps from images with high tolerances and it cant find them
-I made dtms with high tolerance, it cant find them
-When i open the dtm editor and select 'load client image' it shows a black screen

everything was working fine before i re-installed windows. any ideas on what can cause this?

i can confirm, when i drag the crosshair over the client, all simba see is a big black box.
i ran findcolortolerance with different colors and the only one it finds is color 0, which is pitch black.

Is that normal? like did jagex implent something so anything that focus their client see a big black box? or is it caused by something i have set wrong( in windows maybe?)

also noticed, in the DTM editor, if i do 'load client image' it shows a black box but if i do 'load desktop image', i loads part of desktop and shows the rs client.(not fullscreen client)

can some1 confirm they can run scripts on the official client?

I'm assuming you previously had compatibility mode turned on which uses DirectX and Simba can capture that. The default mode is OpenGL which Simba can't capture by default.

Compatibility mode on what? Simba or rs client?

You're talking about right click the app, compatibility tab, 'run this proramm in compatibility mode for windows xx'?

I run rs3, modern layout

Why don't you use NAS plugin? most things are working just fine for me. just a few updates here and there that broke over the past months

RS3 has a graphics compatibility mode on the NXT client somewhere.

according to the guides it should be under graphics, but i cant find it anywhere

found it, its bottom left corner while the client is loading. now all works, thank you all
