SRL Archive - News and General

I'm curious about becoming a SRL member. I've read the tutorials about what you need to know to become an SRL member, and i can do about 99% of it, but I'm nowhere near at par with all the SRL members. Once i get that last 1%, and finish tweaking those skills should i try making a fairly advanced script and apply? I'm really curious about the scripting level needed. Could a some members post the scripts that got them to member? Or tell me what the script did so i can get an idea of the level I'll need to be at?

Read some tuts.. we can not just post up our scripts here :D

Well for example, when you look for your script if you can see something that might go wrong, may a fail safe for it. Like if you have something that will repeat "X" until it finds Color "Y" and there is no other way to end the loop people will look down upon that because it is a potential infinite loop. If you have multi player in your script and use it correctly, meaning if a character was unable to continue it would switch character, and that you use NextPlayer(True/False) Correctly.

If you have any specific questions please PM me and I will do my very best to explain it. I know I'm not very renown but I do know my stuff, and I can probably help you with anything your having problems with.

Except for your parents… your on your own with them… :P

That post didn't answer anything. I thought that someone would think I'm trying to leach scripts, so I added the part about just saying what it did.

Edit : Special Ed thanks, that was helpful.
