What is SCARScape?
SCARSCape is a modified rs-client with everything fixed. Colors, Compass, Symbols, everything is froozen, never leave their place.
- Advantage: Scripting becomes so much easier.
- Disadvantage: Too easy. Its as someone has once put it "Cheating within cheating"
Below is the original thread from sythe.org
Download:
http://www.sythe.org/ss.rar
Instructions:
Download, extract to a folder and open run.html
Update:
If you've already downloaded with non perfect north then, redownload: http://www.sythe.org/ss.rar
I've fixed the angle, its perfect north now. And the colours won't change between logins. Just remember to leave it on normal brightness or you will get an inconsistency between the world and the minimap.
about:
Well this is the internal copy of scarscape from the last (failed) attempt to make it pay to get again, in January.
To be quite honest I wrote it in a caffeine induced frenzy at 3 in the morning. As a result I can't understand half of it. I managed to remove most of my traps and authentication code. It should run smoothly.
The actual java application contains no runescape code, so there should be no copyright issues with posting it. This version of scarscape downloads runescape and modifies it on the fly. Thus the codebase only needs updating when something is drastically changed in runescape.
It uses some version of bcel, I have on my HDD from some time, which I don't recall. Don't ask me more questions because I haven't had my head in the java game for some time.
The perfect north is slightly off for some reason I won't bother to explore. And the colours aren't designer perfect anymore (I don't think.) But I tested and they don't change and the map always resets to the same angle when you reload or log out and log back in.
If someone wants to post a tutorial then feel free to do so. I'll sticky it.
Final note: You need java 1.5 or better to use this
I might be wrong however…
